A VERY IMPORTANT FACT...

DAYS UNTIL HALLOWEEN...

Aside from that...

This is the first year I have ever bought a Halloween costume for my self! Normally I make my own.

PoD and I decided that we should have matching outfits and seeings as we are known as witches [not our choosing] they should be something along that line! Maybe we'll get to wear them if we are ever asked to do any more spooky tours?

As to our being famous from our "Dodge's 15 Minutes of Fame"...our fan base is all of four people! One nice lady called us the "Physic Ladies" and congratulated us on our great interview and the other friends just said that we were great and hoped for us to continue our spooky venture?

I guess nobody ever calls you a "Wacko" to your face!

Hopefully some people watched our town's 15 minutes of fame? I hate to see all of that great advertising go to waste!

...Since I started "Blogging"...this being my 258 post!
I've also logged in 10 posts with my other blog [as if one wasn't enough]"Baby Doodie" as my cat "Suki"!
Wilma has talked me into many things and blogging has been the best!
"Thanks, Wilma, for the good idea and your encouraging comments!"

Blogging has been very therapeutic for me!
It has been my "sounding block" with none passing judgement on my thoughts!
As for the lack of comments [not] left by most of the visitors...I got over it!
I'd would however, like to thank the ones [especially "Blue"] that do manage to drop a line once in awhile...good or bad, I enjoyed them all!
Hopefully I can continue to amuse myself and others...like Suki my cat says...
"I got lots more to say...so stay tuned!"

WACKO STATUS...here we come!

Last night I sat down to watch our town's fifteen minutes of fame and found that 5 minutes of it went to PoD and Me on the spooky happenings of our courthouse!

The company that produced this little gem interviewed quite a few people for our town's little debut and ended up focusing mainly on the courthouse. It did run clips of the different heritage buildings and other main buildings...school, museum, churches, that show our town's history but it was still mainly the courthouse. Our town's logo building...the Water Tower barely got air time and it's featured on our logo as the top building? I'm pretty sure it has a few stories to tell!

They chose only three people to narrate the facts of the courthouse!

One was the man who spent time with the traveling Judge on his court circuit and who barely new anything on the history let alone knew much about the building itself? The other two were PoD and Me!

I guess our take on the spookiness of that place was of more interest than the tales of other people who actually ran it? Not that I mind or anything because I prefer that this town take that info and use it for a tourist attraction! Our beautiful courthouse should be making its own money and then maybe we could afford to fix it up!

As for PoD and me...the bugging should come soon!
Hopefully it will be people who will want to add their scary story to what we already know and not the ridicule that comes when people do not believe that this place is haunted! If it be known, this town has quite a few spots that have caused me to wonder whether this whole town has some scary history? There have been reports of hangings, shoot-outs with the cops and suicides that others want to sweep under the rug and not exposed to the world...question is...should it be?

Does a town want to be known for it's scare factor?

I say...why not? Anything that can bring in revenue should be a good thing and I think it would make our town pretty unique! There is a lot of people who love the scare factor and if it's too scary for them then they can be saved by all of the churches that we have here!
As much as I am against putting my hand up to volunteer anymore...I would gladly put my hand up for that!

I guess that makes me I'm a s--t disturber...
Yup that's me!

GREETINGS.....THERE'S ONLY

DAYS LEFT UNTIL HALLOWEEN!

I've lost count on how many people have asked PoD and me whether we are doing the "Haunted Courthouse" or not, this year? We are standing firm on the NOT aspect of these questions!

We were approached this morning, by a member from the Museum, about the possibility of running night tours and such or maybe some tours during the daylight hours about our experiences with the paranormal in this place! It's a thought we said we'd consider?

The town newspaper came out today and one of it's stories is about the filming that was done this year on "Saskatchewan Town's Fifteen Minutes of Fame" series. Our town's story will be aired tomorrow at 7:45 pm on TV. PoD and I previewed a copy of it on the net and I have to admit I didn't like the part about my commentary on the spooky side of that place! The directors also spelled my last name wrong or maybe that's a good thing...I can deny that it's me. My interview really makes me sound like I'm a wacko! ...OH WELL?

Before this, PoD and I have heard rumours around town about us being witches? After this story airs...I wonder if it will get worse?

So far my business and residence has never been vandalized by the bad kids in this town...hopefully it's because the kids in this town fear that we just might be witches? So I guess it might be a good thing?

Guess we'll have to wait and see?

The Weather, Health Issues, Renovations and Play Practise...

This morning the walk to work was full of gorgeous color and nippy winds! Seems fall is finally here! I could even see frost on top of BillyRoo's car!

I, for one, just love the fall...with the trees changing colors...no bugs...the air is fresher, cooler...no bugs...the sun gets up later [so I can finally sleep in]...no bugs...and the harvest should be finally over [allergies]...NO BUGS!

The down side is that I have developed a runny nose, sore throat and a dry cough that hurts my chest! I'm not sure if it's a seasonal thing or something developing from the renovations that we did on Saturday?

I spent the whole day yesterday trying to get off of the couch...it didn't help that I had the six disc [2nd season] dvd set of "Bones" to watch...which by the way I finished! I managed to eat everything in the house [not good for the diabetes thing] so I must have that "feed" a cold thing going on! So today I feel like I'm a "beached whale" or the "Good Year Blimp"...whichever!

STRESS....

Today at work...PoD and I have to mark aluminum for BillyRoo and Trebor to take & get cut and get a start on this HUGE order that has to be done ASAP!

Not sure if we will get back to the renovations...inside of roof has to be done before the snow flies and the boys won't be back until Thanksgiving to do it? PoD has company coming for Thanksgiving so they might not even work on the roof until who knows when?

This evening at "Play Practice" we have to have our lines memorized [no scripts] and I'm not ready or even feeling well enough to do this without coughing my lungs out every time I talk?

Right now all I feel like doing is going back to the couch! The thing is...every time I lay down, all I wants to do is cough!

Well enough crabbing...got to get some work done before PoD gets here!

Today will be..........VERY LONG!!!

WORDS WOMEN USE

FINE

This is the word women use to end an argument when they feel they are right and you need to shut up. Never use “fine” to describe how a woman looks – this will cause you to have one of those arguments.

FIVE MINUTES

This is half an hour. It is equivalent to the five minutes that your football game is going to last before you take out the trash, so it’s an even trade.

NOTHING

This means “something” and you should be on your toes. “Nothing” is usually used to describe the feeling a woman has of wanting to turn you inside out, upside down, and backwards. “Nothing” usually signifies an argument that will last “five minutes” and end with “fine”.

GO AHEAD (With Raised Eyebrows!)

This is a dare. One that will result in a woman getting upset over “Nothing” and will end with the word “Fine”.

GO AHEAD (Normal Eyebrows)

This means "I give up" or "do what you want because I don't care". You will get a "Raised Eyebrows Go Ahead" in just a few minutes, followed by "Nothing" and "Fine" and she will talk to you in about "Five Minutes" when she cools off.

LOUD SIGH

This is not actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A “Loud Sigh” means that she thinks you are an idiot at the moment and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you over “Nothing”.

SOFT SIGH

Again not a word, but a non-verbal statement. “Soft Sighs” mean that she is content. Your best bet is not to move or breathe, and she will stay content.

THAT’S OKAY

This is one of the most dangerous statements that a woman can make to a man. “That’s Okay” means that she wants to think long and hard before paying you back for whatever it is that you have done. “That’s Okay” is often used with the word “Fine” and in conjunction with a “Raised Eyebrow”

GO AHEAD!

At some time in the near future, you are going to be in some mighty big trouble.

PLEASE DO

This is not a statement, it is an offer. A woman is giving you the chance to come up with whatever excuse or reason you have for whatever it that you have done. You have a fair chance with the truth, so be careful and you shouldn’t get a “That’s Okay’

THANKS

A woman is thanking you. Do not! Faint! Just say “You’re welcome”.

THANKS A LOT

This is much different from “Thanks”. A woman will say “Thanks a Lot” when she is really ticked off at you. It signifies that you have offended her in some callous way, and will be followed by the “Loud Sigh”. Be careful not to ask what is wrong after the “Loud Sigh” as she will only tell you “Nothing”
I just had to share this with you all out there...men should print this out and memorize this...lol
I came across this on a 66 yr old woman's site called "Old Age Is A Bitch"! She is really funny and I hope I can remain the same at her age!
IMPORTANT FACT!

Just a little reminder........

THERE'S ONLY....

..............DAYS LEFT 'TIL HALLOWEEN!

HALLOWEEN PROJECT:

IMPORTANT INFO!...sent to PoD via one of her friends

Pass the Butter...some facts

Margarine was originally manufactured to fatten turkeys!

When it killed the turkeys, the people who had put all the money into the research wanted a payback so they put their heads together to figure out what to do with this product to get their money back. It was a white substance with no food appeal so they added the yellow coloring and sold it to people to use in place of butter.

DO YOU KNOW...the difference between margarine and butter?

BUTTER facts...

1. Both have the same amount of calories.

2. Butter is slightly higher in saturated fats at 8 grams compared to 5 grams.

3. Eating margarine can increase heart disease in women by 53% over eating the same amount of butter, according to a recent Harvard Medical Study.

4. Eating butter increases the absorption of many other nutrients in other foods.

5. Butter has many nutritional benefits where margarine has a few only because they are added!

6. Butter tastes much better than margarine and it can enhance the flavors of other foods.

7. Butter has been around for centuries where margarine has been around for less than 100 years.

MARGARINE facts...

1. Very high in Trans fatty acids.

2. Triple risk of coronary heart disease.

3. Increases total cholesterol and LDL (this is the bad cholesterol) and lowers HDL cholesterol, (the good cholesterol)

4. Increases the risk of cancers up to five fold.

5. Lowers quality of breast milk.

6. Decreases immune response.

7. Decreases insulin response.

And here's the most disturbing fact....

HERE IS THE PART THAT IS VERY INTERESTING!

Margarine is but ONE MOLECULE away from being PLASTIC.

....and anything else that is hydrogenated (this means hydrogen is added, changing the molecular structure of the substance).

You can try this yourself:

Purchase a tub of margarine and leave it in your garage or shaded area.

Within a couple of days you will note a couple of things:

...No flies, not even those pesky fruit flies will go near it (that should tell you something)

...It does not rot or smell differently because it has no nutritional value

...Nothing will grow on it Even those teeny weeny micro organisms will not a find a home to grow.

Why? Because it is nearly plastic!

...Would you melt your Tupperware and spread that on your toast?

My sister and I have always argued about the benefits of margarine or butter? Being diabetic I was always informed by nutritionist that "low calorie" margarine was better for me [& my heart] and of course sis was on the butter's side! Seems she was right! I will happily throw away the "plastic"...as butter has always been my favorite...but I still will be using caution on the "how much"!

OOPS!

Cat Facts:

Seems I haven't a clue what I am talking about!

In my previous blog on a "Rescued Animal", I showed you the wrong area where you would find the fang that showed you when your cat was around six months old....making it old enough to be neutered!
PoD corrected me this morning...must be the Alzheimer's problem again!

Here are the right photos....
I hope I got it right this time?
I forgot to add that the best part about trying to find this out is....getting the poor kitty to stay still enough to do this!
RENOVATIONS 2007

Here's an update on how well our renovations are doing... they are going very s-l-o-w-l-y!

There hasn't been anything done since last Monday, when all four of us [BillyRoo, Trebor, Pod and myself] started ripping the walls and ceiling down in the kitchen, dining room and in my old bedroom. The place now looks something like this...

These next 2 photos have "Orbs" in them!

For all of you "dust mote" fans out there...these photos should have been loaded with signs of dust because that's all you can smell right now! With the amount of photos that I have been taking of our project, there really hasn't been too many signs of "orbs"!

The first photo the you see, PoD's first reaction to the large "orb" in the center, was of a man dressed in olden-day style clothing wearing a bowler type hat and she saw that he was leaning against the wall with his hands in his pockets? This all came to her in a flash!

My feelings of the next photos, was that I was being watched as I was taking these shots! The feelings have all been good ones for us and I feel that they approve of what's being done to the place.

In these next photos, the "orbs" seem to have a strange yellow/orange glow around them? This is the first time I have seen this type of orb? With these photos I've noticed that the orbs have been caught mostly in the kitchen and dining room areas? In the last shot below there is one near the doorknob and a faint one close to the dryer, they also have this strange glow around them?

These next ones show no orbs at all!
All of these photos have been taken one after another so if there was to be spots...there should be spots in all of them?

The last pic is of the partial-mess that we left when we were done that day. The trailer that we are using to remove this crap is right below the open space on the deck...which by the way took two trips to the dump to get rid of!
I have started a new pile with the crap from the above photos and now have to wait for my ex to return my trailer back to me before I can do more....
I'd like to say that I'm having fun demolishing but I'm NOT! The more we clear away the more we have to fix!

I can't wait for it to be over!

RESCUED ANIMAL!

Seeing as PoD has forsaken her blog for "Crackbook" [facebook], I want to update the progress of the new hellion in her house...BOOG!

In early June, we rescued this poor little kitten who was left to defend for himself, outside in the big and scary world!

When I first saw him hiding under one of the many cars in my back yard, I was amazed to see that someone could leave something so small...to defend for it's self! He sounded so pitiful, my heart just went out to him! All of my coaxing was for naught as he was too scared to trust me and I had to wait for PoD to arrive before he would come out. She has a way of making "Mommy Cat" sounds that helped to encourage the little guy to see that safety was nearby. PoD was finally able to pick him up...it was love at first sight!

There was no way I could keep him as my two cats wouldn't of allowed it! PoD had a easy going cat, Maxie, at home so she figured they would get along....she was right. Maxie became his new mommy. He even tried to nurse off of him which didn't impress Maxie too much!

Giving him a name was hard. My suggestion was to call him "Orca" because of his coloring and the fact that someone tried to do a "Free Willy" on him! But Pod couldn't bring herself to call him Orca or Orkie...it didn't sound cute enough for her...so she eventually ended up calling him "Boog" or when he gets into mischief..."Booger"
When we found him we knew that he wasn't too old...definitely not old enough to be out on his own and PoD wanted to make sure that he was "fixed" so he would want to stay home. She had lost one earlier to the "I want to make babies syndrome" and wasn't about to make the same mistake with this one!

Cat Fact:
Cats, male or female, cannot be spayed or neutered until they are six months old so Pod took him to the vet to figured out his age and get his shots. She found out that he was only a little over 3 months! The vet told her that they would have to wait for his "second fang" to come out before they could do the procedure and they showed her what it would look like.
This second fang comes out when they are 6 months old and this what it looks like.

This weekend it finally showed!
She also noticed that he was starting the "mounting" faze on Maxie and that clued her into checking for the fang.
So it's off to the vet just as soon as she can get an appointment!

Words of advice found on a parenting site...
Mean Moms
Someday when my children are old enough to
understand the logic that motivates a parent,
I will tell them, as my Mean Mom told me:
I loved you enough . . .
to ask where you were going, with whom,
and what time you would be home.
I loved you enough to be silent and let you
discover that your new best friend was a creep.
I loved you enough to stand over you for two hours
while you cleaned your room,
a job that should have taken 15 minutes.
I loved you enough to let you see anger,
disappointment, and tears in my eyes.
Children must learn that their parents aren't perfect.
I loved you enough to let you assume the responsibility
for your actions even when the penalties were so harsh
they almost broke my heart.
But most of all, I loved you enough . . . to say NO when
I knew you would hate me for it.
Those were the most difficult battles of all.
I'm glad I won them, because in the end you won, too.
And someday when your children are old enough to
understand the logic that motivates parents, you will tell them.
Was your Mom mean?
I know mine was.
We had the meanest mother in the whole world!
While other kids ate candy for breakfast,
we had to have cereal, eggs, and toast.
When others had a Pepsi and a Twinkie for lunch,
we had to eat sandwiches.
And you can guess our mother fixed us a dinner
that was different from what other kids had, too.
Mother insisted on knowing where we were at all times.
You'd think we were convicts in a prison.
She had to know who our friends were,
and what we were doing with them.
She insisted that if we said we would be gone for an hour,
we would be gone for an hour or less.
We were ashamed to admit it, but she had the nerve
to break the Child Labor Laws by making us work.
We had to wash the dishes, make the beds, learn to
cook, vacuum the floor, do laundry, empty the trash
and all sorts of cruel jobs. I think she would lie
awake at night thinking of more things for us to do.
She always insisted on us telling the truth, the
whole truth, and nothing but the truth. By the time
we were teenagers, she could read our minds and had
eyes in the back of her head.
Then, life was really tough!
Mother wouldn't let our friends just honk the horn when they drove up.
They had to come up to the door so she could meet them.
While everyone else could date when they were 12 or 13,
we had to wait until we were 16.
Because of our mother we missed out on lots of
things other kids experienced.
None of us have ever been caught shoplifting,
vandalizing other's property or ever arrested for any crime.
It was all her fault.
Now that we have left home, we are all educated,
honest adults.
We are doing our best to be mean parents just like Mom was.
I think that is what's wrong with the world today.
It just doesn't have enough mean moms!

I am proud to be a mean mom!
....and the pride I have watching my daughter raising her children the same way!

I would like to send this message to all parents.....
because raising children applies to BOTH the mom & the dad!

DOG QUOTE found on the net

"He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog.

You are his life, his love, his leader.

He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart.

You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion!"

by Author Unknown

I would like to change this to read...

"They are your friends, your partners, your defenders, your pets.
You are their life, their loves, their leaders.
They will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of their hearts.
You owe it to them to be worthy of such devotion!"
NEIGHBOR UPDATES!

The "party" house next door has now been sold! To whom...I haven't a clue! There has been no activity as yet...so all is quiet!

The "bad" neighbors on the other side, of me, has had quite a blow given to them!

As you may know [if you have kept up on my past remarks] that I haven't had too much success with getting to know these people and that I have spent most of my time wishing them to go away!

If you remember the "For Sale" sign disappeared and I was hoping that the place had been sold...well it turned out that they both managed to land jobs so they decided to stay!

The incident with the young kid [past post about "nosy neighbor"] turned out to be a dad wanting to keep his young son here against his exes wishes and cops were called in! Kid did get returned to rightful parent!

On Monday, the 10th, my "evil" neighbor was killed in a trucking accident while he was hauling a load of whatever to a nearby town! Seems he blew a yield sign and ended up injuring [thankfully not too bad] a young kid in another vehicle!

I wished him gone from my life but I never, ever, wished him to die!

I feel terrible for his family and what they are going through right now! It's sad that they still have to live with his actions!

I feel doubly sorry for his wife! She has had some bad crap happening to her lately and this will make it only make it worse...my hope for her is that she is able to get through this without going over the deep end! As for his kids...if he truly was a bad parent...they're in a better world now that he is gone!

I know it's harsh to think ill of the dead...but being dead doesn't excuse his past transgressions!

One day maybe things will be better with my neighbors and me...I do vow to make an effort to try!
