IT'S A HAUNTED TOUR...

ON FRIDAY THE 13TH...

Does that sound ominous or what?

Tonight [7:00] PoD and I are off to try to scare some grade 12 students and maybe some adults...

A hard task!

Teenagers can be very skeptical at that age about a lot of things...sometimes just to be contrary or to be more macho in front of their peers...?

Our grade 12 students have an exchange program with the students from Toronto [Ont] and the students will arrive in town later this afternoon. We've been asked by the hosting parents to give a spooky guided tour through our town's wonderfully haunted court house and to scare the crap out of them...their words not mine!

Of course, we accepted!

Although, it was a toss up between a paranormal investigation being done in Regina [that we were kindly invited to attend] this weekend with the group [Sask Paranormal Shadow Hunters] that we had hosted here in Feb. There was a few places they were investigating that sounded interesting but seeing as we had already promised this weekend to the students, we had to decline. But very thankful that they had considered us enough to offer us an invite. Hopefully in the near future we can attend another one?

Anyways... tonight will be a challenge?

Hopefully there will be some maturity involved with this age...but past experiences with the Halloween tours, leaves me apprehensive about so many [approx 20] all at once, in a group.

The Toronto students arrive in town sometime this evening straight off the plane in Saskabush, a rough 2 hr drive on scary highways to here, then board wagons to tour the town and cemetery [you know us country hicks...;}] ending up with a barbecue on the court house grounds.

The spooky tour in the court house is planned for 8:00.

I can see them either all totally hyped up with all that has happened with them so far or hopefully so tired from the flight/drive/wagons/food that they let themselves get scared...;)

And maybe we will get lucky and they will all be believers and come away with a great experience of the paranormal....

One can wish?

Will take lots of photos but promise no shots of faces if possible. Will try to get a group photo and will post with permission of course.

Stay tuned for the results.

I just hope that Friday the 13th doesn't get us....

Another Darkside Zodiac...Taurus [Apr 21 -May 21]

Again, these are permitted excerpts from Stella Hyde's book, Darkside Zodiac. Which means, these aren't my words and no blame can be laid at my feet...

Taurus is a feminine sign, fixed Earth sign ruled by Venus. It is the second sign on the zodiac wheel, directly opposite Scorpio, and is named for the consyellation Taurus [the bull], which plods and bellows behind the Sun at this time of year.

On the Darkside, this makes you a stubborn, sybaritic, rut-bound bully, fueled by dull resentment and an insatiable love of money.

Annoying Habits:

Punctuality...You are never late; you have never been late; you will never be late. People in Switzerland can set their clocks by you, train companies call you for advice. Strangely, everyone else is always late meeting with you.

Toothpaste...The Taurus toothpaste tube always lives in a toothpaste tube cozy on the third shelf down and is always rolled up from the bottom. If anyone moves it-let alone squeezes it in the middle-you kill them.

Temper Gauge...0 to boiling in about six months, but on a regular five-year cycle. Much earth-shaking; small buildings fall down; you gore everyone within reach. Ten days later people armed with chocolate can approach you.

Personality...Obdurate, opinionated, overpowering

Bitch Rating...C+. Others think this is because you are naturally kind and charitable, but they are wrong; it's not that you don't want to bitch, you're just too slow-witted to really make an impact. When you do try, you make dull, painful remarks about other people's lack of fashion sense or money.

Fave Deadly Sin..."I'll have all them, now" is naturally your first thought, since the desire for some new stuff fogs your brain. When you finally understand you've got to choose, you go away to ruminate, and come back some days later with the obvious answer: Greed, with a substantial side dish of Gluttony [maybe served in a just of Lust]. You think having and holding until death do you part is sensible behavior, and nothing is ever going to change your mind. As for Gluttony, what's wrong with liking your fodder, especially if it comes at a prix fixe?

Blame your planet Venus, mighty Aphrodite!

Again...a lot of her predictions have to be calculated with the time of day one was born...etc.

Buy the book...you will be amazed on how well these little tidbits let's one know who they might be dealing with?

I, for one, have to agree with what I have read about the Taurus traits in this book. I have MANY that are close to me and must admit they have left BIG hoof prints on my life! The males especially!

I put off writing about his zodiac until now cause it played a big part in my life...making me a part of what I am today...

They say that marriage changes you...

I say it's your partner's traits that steers you that way...

It ticks off me to hear/read jokes about how women change after they get that ring on their finger...

My first marriage was to a Taurus...who ran herd boss over my life for 5 years...it felt like the ring was in my nose!

Reading about those traits brought back TONS of BAD MEMORIES! That thankfully ONLY lasted 5 years! But man, those 5 years were LONG!!! ;(

He took a somewhat shy, semi-naive girl and bullied her into something that was changing into the strong person that my [Aquarian] second husband help finish off!

I am resentfully for the lessons that it took to mold me the way that I am today but also grateful for them too! ?

My 2nd ex also has them drawn to him, thus I had them as close friends which later finding out that they were HIS friends and NOT mine! :)

Even lately the "love sites" send the Taurus men my way when I state not to...it must be the challenge that I emit to them?

Women are no problem, as friends, as they aren't interested in me that way...:) They actually make great friends!

Of my two exes, the Taurus one was the absolute worst! I still have residual nightmares with the things that he imposed on my life!

He was a scary stalker type and thankfully his feminine side came to my rescue when his darkside emerged. He did not know that a lot of his problem stemmed from the fact that he was gay and fought it! Thinking back on those times and adding up all the odd facts that occurred during it, made me come to the conclusion why he eventually ended up dead at the age of 30 or so. I never found out why or how he died, as I had severed all contact with him and his family after our divorce. I just know that he died! It was my step mother who informed me of his obit in the Edmonchuk newspaper, which never mentioned how he died? I often think his gayness was part of the reason why his dad committed suicide and left the odd note about it for him to find?

Summing up this guy would mean doubling those traits in strength and purpose! I disappeared [literally] from his life as my daughter happened during our divorce proceedings [those of you adding things up...no he is NOT her father as were separated for 2 yrs]and I didn't want him to know about her! Scary was too nice of a word for him!

He did provide me with a strong enough will to have a child on my own! Sadly, I let the next dangerous zodiac in my life...

It's bad enough having your own nasty traits but having a person just like you can be just as scary...but oddly nicely predictable?

Anyways...

As for my what's up with me...

As of yesterday, computer living was making my life hell! Damn thing was working in slow motion...like some people I know...

THANKFULLY I have computer-literate children that save my butt, time and time again!

This time it was PoD to the rescue!

BillyRoo [son] gives me crap when I don't do the updates when I'm supposed to and when I do, do them, I screw it up! ? ;(

PoD waved her magic wand, said a few choice [?]words and left me with it running in fix-it-mode...

I got the axe out and laid it on the key board with a few words of my own [really] and left it alone...to ponder it's fate

Spent the rest of the day clean house as I didn't have anything ready to put together sign wise.

Did fill the time with grad diamonds that didn't want to go together....left them in a pile!

Did have a painting committee job to do after work which meant someone was supposed to pick me up and didn't...wasted 2 hrs waiting? Was later called and apologized to, but was happy not having to do the painting work after all. Will be doing the second coat if she remembers today to pick me up...;)

So my Thursday turned out to be an annoying day which happily ended with the computer finally working properly!

Thank YOU PoD!!!

Woke this morning to fog at 4:30 am, right now [8:30] the sun is peeking out from the clouds...it's supposed to be sunny with intermittent rain?

Time to start the day...

Have a Happy day all you Taurus people....;)

Next zodiac will be Cancer [June 22 - July 22] my stepmother's sign as I already did Gemini's.

ANOTHER DARKSIDE ZODIAC...Aries

Again, quoting brief passages from her [Stella Hyde] book is another Zodiac sign that hits close to my heart...my son's [Apr. 5]

Let's see how close she gets to him...

Aries is a masculine sign, cardinal Fire sign ruled by Mars. It is the first sign on the zodiac wheel, directly opposite Libra , and is named for the constellation Aries [the ram], which shouts and struts behind the Sun at this time of year.
On the darkside, this makes you a loud, overconfident, aggressive thug with way too many Y chromosomes and a will of titanium-clad granite.
Annoying Habits:

Punctuality - You are either 30 minutes early, raring to go, and incandescent that everyone else is late, or you turn up four days later at a different venue and are outraged that the expedition went without you.

Toothpaste - After a five minute rant in the bathroom when you throw everything out of the window looking for your tube of toothpaste, you finally find it in your laundry basket. You hammer it flat with your bare hands.

Temper gauge - 0 degrees to boiling point is instantaneously, and occurs roughly every two minutes because people just won't do what you tell them, and you've lost the key/hammer/remote control/plot.

Personality - overwhelming, overbearing, overconfident

Bitch rating - C+ think about it: bitching demands subtlety and finesse, neither of which your Bad Fairy Godmother left in your cradle. If you want to say something nasty about someone, you don't sneak around; you just open your mouth and blast away. Refreshing, in a strange way.

Fav Deadly Sin - You simply do not have the time for anything intellectual, or namby-pamby, so you go straight for Wrath, or Anger.

You can blame your planet...Mars the red menace

I'll end that zodiac on that unhappy note...

Sure makes my son sound like he was/is a difficult child/man and he was/is not! Headstrong, yes!

A lot of who a person is, depends on how they were brought up...seeing as he still talks to me, visits lots and helps me out when needed, says something I say. I would be amazed to hear that he had ever hurt anyone and as for anyone taking advantage of him...nope!

He has a big heart for those he loves and shows it when we need it!

Besides, his good traits out weights any bad ones as far as I'm concerned...

On another note... I became a Great Auntie again! A new little bouncing baby boy was delivered by the stork [;}] to one of my nieces in Edmonchuck on the 23.

Guess she gets an Aries child toooooo.....;}

Good luck Michele & Shayne and congratulations on the new addition!

I do remember hearing something about older sister not wanting a brother and that they should take it back if it is...

This was kindly awarded to me by a faithful reader and commenter and I am now just been able to get to it...thanks to viruses attacking my computer, then me!

Was down with it [cold/virus/] all last week and have finally stopped coughing my guts out! Great AB workout! Lost 7 pounds and am now busy trying to put it back on...;(

Computer is still ill and is in the process of being replaced....

Back to the award...here are the rules:

1. Thank and link to the person who sent it....then tell them you did

Thank You!!!!! BJ Roan from [rubbishbyroan.blogspot.com]...she likes my supernatural crap stuff....:) You honor me! I wish I lived close to her too as I would like to visit their court house also!

2. Pass the award on to someone else.

I have many to add but this one changed my narrow minded way of thinking and proved to me that you can't pick a book by it's title. She was first mentioned to me by my daughter and I dismissed it because of it's title..."Snooty Primadona"...last thing I wanted was someone who had "Snooty" ideas...let alone a Primadona...;} Boy was I wrong! I have learned much from this very talented lady who has just as many life's battle scars as I do and deserves this "Stylish Award". She has a style all her own! Even an old dog like me can learn new things....thanks BJ and PrimaD [snootyprimadona.blogspot.com] for joining me and informing on life outside of my world!

3. Share 7 things about yourself.

This was a hard one as I have blabbed about a lot...;}

1. The worst thing I have ever done and have thankfully never repeated is trying to kill a baby kitten.
Before you condemn me, let me explain...
I was 11 or so at the time. I had awoken [early morning hrs] to my cat having kittens on my bed and she was killing them as she was having them! This was her first time delivery and my first time witnessing it happening! She delivered her last one [4] and I was able to save it from being killed right away by her. I figured if I cleaned it up she would like it better but she wanted nothing to do with it! What could I do? Dad and stepmother would not have responded nicely to me waking them with this problem [fact]. It wasn't doing too well either [I'm sure now there was probably something wrong with them as the mother cat never did that again] and it was barely moving. Biggest mistake was me thinking I could drown it to put it out of its misery. One has to hold it under water and feel it squirm while doing it. I couldn't! I ended up having to wake my brother, Tank and he did it for me. Something I also regret, was asking him to do it, but he was nice enough to do it for me. He was not a violent person so that had to hurt him too...sorry Tank! To this very day I have a problem with condemning something to death....EXCEPT for proven murders, serial killers, especially child killers! And bugs! Especially cannot do it by my hand...the thought of a supposedly squashed bug wiggling in a paper towel/Kleenex horrifies me!

2. Have a preference for the nonsensical stuff over what others classify as classy or "expensive". I have hand crafted [5 by me] wands in my work place...started by the first one who I show everyone as being broken and can't get their work done any faster...;} This year I added 2 -5' staffs too....with a crown....;)...yup crazy

3. When I was 10 or 11 I used to eat white onions just like they were apples. I would even sneak them up to my room...like I could hide the smell of them when eaten? Then I went through a time where I hated them! But have now come back around to eating them again...only thankfully not as an apple...;} -do prefer them raw...

4. Due to stress levels in my neck and shoulders I have worn off the bumps on my back bone around the neck. Xrays have revealed that they are all smooth. Doctors say its from intense tightening of the neck muscles rubbing them smooth. That an the arthritis.

5. Keep a diary since 1985 which consists of calendars. Each year I scribble crap on the calender of important happenings and then keep the calendar. When my Ex and I separated we argued on who got to keep the calenders...I won. Mostly because it was MY ideas to keep them in the first place.

6. March 30, 1997 dislocated elbow. Pain was so bad that I couldn't have any material between me and my arm. Sleep was a nightmare...with clothes on...even worse! Had to sleep nude! Been sleeping that way ever since!

7. Do not own or wear blue jeans! HATE THEM! Preference for soft fluffy material...for comfort. If I dream about satin....means I'm getting sick...?

Thank heavens there is only 7!

I'm sure I could have mentioned all the others as I don't have that great a following and doubt that they've read back history so I'm probably safe repeating myself...which is good for old people like me...;}

There I've done it......!

Hope I can post again soon but I am in between computers right now and things get iffy here...?

BLACK FRIDAY

Going shopping today [8:30 am]...gonna see whether buying new charger for camera [60.00] or get a NEW camera! Better be a good deal or the money don't leave the pocket...;)!

Gonna wear black too!

On another black note....

As per a REQUEST from a faithful follower, I am posting her DARKSIDE ZODIAC. Which is Gemini. I have relatives that are from that zodiac also, so it's an interesting read!

ALL must remember these are not MY words!

These are NOT my opinions either!

Nor do I take them to be a true read, for how would someone know all that about everyone? Everyone is brought up differently and I feel that makes a BIG  difference in your personality. Plus one also must come up with a good idea to sell books now days with the net and all!

So.....

You got a complaint, take it up with the authoress Stella Hyde.

There are some points in mine that really ticks me off and I'd like to slap her upside the head!

I do wonder how she comes by some of these thoughts and whether she has any friends left?

YOU ARE WARNED......I don't want to lose one of my friends and one of the few commentators to my blog! My family/friends knows who I am and how I feel...I would NEVER accept this at face valve!

WARNING:

"Gemini: May 22 - June 21

Gemini is a masculine mutable Air sign, ruled by the planet Mercury. It is the third sign on the zodiac wheel, directly across from Sagittarius, and is named for the Constellation, Gemini [the twins], which constantly ducks and dives behind the sun at this time of the year.
On the darkside this makes you an unreliable, roguish sociopath with a light finger and the attention span of a hyperactive mayfly."

See what I mean!

Want more....?

"Annoying Habits:

Punctuality: You're rarely late but never stay long since you are usually on your way to somewhere else that you think might be more interesting or stuffed with classier celebs.
Toothpaste: You have a shiny new electric toothbrush "borrowed" from somewhere, and toothpaste picked up from unguarded retail displays-you didn't pay for it, so why would you give a damn about how it is squeezed!
Temper Gauge: 0 to boiling point in five seconds, inventive invective, blistering bitchery, then back down again in two, mostly because your attention has wandered off. You prefer to get even, not mad.

Personality: feckless, reckless, two-faced. Brightside you is famous for your irresistible charm and sprightly wit. But you [and I] know that it's all a facade isn't it? It's all sparky patter to shift the eyes of the gullible away from what your really up to."

There is much more cause she goes on a lot.

Next...

Bitch Rating: A++. We bow to the zodiac's Bitch Queen. Your lightning rapier zigzags with such sparkling wit and style that many bitches don't know they have been slashed for at least three weeks; and your apologies are always so transparently heartfelt and sincere.

Favorite Deadly Sin: Oh, come on! Only one deadly sin? For you, the dilettante of depravity? I don't think so. You need at least four: two for each twin. What to choose? Pride, for sure, although you prefer to use its other name, Vanity [you know you look good so why not say so?]; Lust, because it is fun; Envy [why should the rich have all the nice, shiny things? Indeed, why should anybody have anything you want? And Greed. Greed is good. What's wrong with wanting it all?

Blame your planet Mercury! Mercury is a small dense busybody that scurries sycophantically around the sun in just 88 days, practically joined at the hip with our local star. It doesn't mind the heat just as long as it can be self-important in the kitchen."

A lot of her predictions have to be calculated with what time of day you were born...etc.

So Gemini....if you want more you got to leave a comment and I'll send you what else she has to say that you won't like...;{

FASHIONISM WEDNESDAY...

 NO...not really.
Just our costumes for the Halloween's Family Dance on Friday night.
PoD is "Princess of Darkness", AJ a "Glamor Girl" and JD wanted to be a "Skeleton".

I came as "Mother Nature"...
Which totally blew away all the little kids!

I was amazed at all the little kids who couldn't stop touching the orange tulle cape that I wore. Some even followed me? Many came up to me and with awe in their voice told me how nice I looked...calling me "Mother Nature". I figure their parents must have explained who mother nature was and they took it as something special? It sure stroked the old ego!

It wasn't much of a dance, more like a milling around of dressed up kids and very few costumed parents? Happily there wasn't any judging of costumes...it's too hurtful to children. All feel their costume is the winner and those who just throw something together are no match for the store bought ones. My preferrence is for the thrown together ones.

Would like to share more photos of this dance only the Exes camera confused both PoD and me, so you will have to take my word on it being very amusing seeing the variations.
PoD and I did get "Honorable Mention" on the best costumes, though. Screw the award, my reward was the look on the kid's faces!
Two hours of sugar frenzied kids was enough for us!

Next up...first my rant

The adult Halloween dance was held on Saturday and it was also a "Benefit Dance" for this poor little boy [2] who is bent over with a tumor that is growing on the side of his neck and spine. It is huge! The parents are extremely young and the financial burden is emmence! They needed this dance to help pay for the numerous treatments and surgeries that it is going to take to help this child...if he survives it that is!

What was very noticeable was the absence of the older citizens of this supposedly close-knit town! I was maybe the 4th oldest? I can't help but compare it to the fund raiser for the boy who lost his father due to a heart attack, the turn out for him was shameful compared to what this boy with the tumor got! That other boy will probably someday have a new dad to raise him whereas this boy with the tumor may not live to even enjoy a dad, period!

Most may not enjoy getting dressed up and hate Halloween but that gives no excuse for not showing up and giving your support to this young couple and HIM! Happily there were 2 that came with no costume just to support him! All I can say to those who didn't attend from this town [with no valid excuse like sick or dead] SHAME ON YOU! You better be sending a check to them or donating through some other means!

There was guys there that were only working in the area...they paid out the 20.00 entrance fee and didn't even know the kid!

As for what you missed...

PoD..."Princess of Darkness"
PoD forgot her staff...note she is wearing killer "slut" boots. With her crown she is about 6' tall!

And me as the "Queen of Halloween"...

and my killer shoes...[5.00]
No high heeled concotions for me! I prefer being close to the ground and have to problem with being 5'3"! Seems I was smarter that those who did wear those killer boots...most came off when the dancing started...;)

We, as usual stayed with our group...
This is our normal look...us and the Orbs!

Its like we have this wall around us and everyone else is afraid to approach it?
Except for the 50/50 ticket sellers and the table cleaners.

Lived here for 28 yrs and still not approchable? Although I did get a few inquiring on sign work...guess that's the only topic they figure I/we know?

Did get compliments on our outfits but they weren't winners.

Best Male Costume..."The Mad Hatter"
This was our selection too!

Best Female..."Cruella Deville"

It was okay but not note worthy in my books.
Didn't get a pic from the front cause it wasn't that great.

Why they picked it was beyond me?

Best Couple...."Extension Cord and Outlet"
PoD had taken the photo before they won and it was our choice too!

Even better was the fact that this was the boy that my son grew up with and practically lived at our place, a second son, you can say. So happy for him and his girlfriend. Both him and my son very seldom see each other any more, as they have gone their separate ways...;(

The next choice wasn't my pick but it was PoD's!

They were dance costumes and won mostly because they looked and were called the "Skanky Ninja Turtles". The pic shows the 3 of them without their "Skank" boots on. The outfits must have been uncomfortably short as most spent their time trying to keep the skirt down. Don't know why they were wearing shorts underneath?

Guess it's jealousy...I used to be that skinny!

They were cute and well made outfits.

We did do some dancing and have pics to prove it...even though it only looks like we are just standing there...

Will be show more Orbs and some diffrent ones
Not sure if can be called a dust mote or Orb...can you see a face in it?

PoD lost her boots after the first song!
Something about "Jello Legs"?

Here's PoD dancing with a few more Orbs...

Do you see a face in the brightest one?
The larger one is probably a dust mote. See the difference?

Yup...even I dance

Doesn't it look like I'm talking to this Orb?

We did have fun without anyone else...even though the dance floor was full.
Here a selection of costumes for your own ideas...
They even held a mock fight...notice the Orb with the face on it?
No...I'm not just pointing to his crotch...;}
Note this one...it has a very distinct face
I never noticed that the mouth looks like it shows teeth in the smile?

One of the final shots.
We have such a large dance floor area, yet the crowd stayed shoulder to shoulder close near the stage? Granted the rest of the floor got pretty sticky from spilled drinks!

Why do people have to dance with their drink in their hand? It's not like one has to be worried about anyone slipping anything in your drink! This is a small town, everyone is watching your every move!

It got really hard to take near the end...all one wanted to do was go home. Feet tired and it's not entertaining, yet one has to stay because they bought 50/50 tickest and PoD bought a chance on the big TV they were raffling off.

Her ticket was half a playing card. A card that showed all sorts of promise for being lucky!
A Cat Card...a witch's familiar and the 7 [her lucky number] of diamonds

They pulled the 7 of hearts on the cat card!

Guess close only works in horseshoes...;{

And yes my Halloween has already disappeared from my house til next year!

FRICKIN MISSED IT!

LAST NIGHT WAS THE FULL MOON!

PoD and I were quibbling over when it was going to be. My calender said tonight...but what did that really mean?

So I checked...

For the northern hemisphere, last night’s moon was the full Hunter’s Moon. In the southern hemisphere, it was the second full moon of spring.
The full moon reached the crest of its full phase today (Saturday, October 23) at 1:36 Universal Time. For the Central Time zone in the U.S., that was 8:36 p.m. yesterday, on Friday, October 22.
Tonight’s moon is past full. It is actually a waning moon. However, no matter where you live worldwide, it will be a full-looking waning gibbous moon – not a full moon – that will be rising over your east-northeast horizon this Saturday evening. As a rule of thumb, the moon rises approximately 50 minutes later daily.
However, it is early autumn in the northern hemisphere now, and at this time of year, that rule is broken for the several nights following the full moon. If you reside far enough north of the equator, in fact, you may even see tonight’s waning moon rising before sunset. At Fairbanks, Alaska, for instance, the waning moon will rise before sunset for the next several days.
Our charts are designed for temperate latitudes in North America. Look at the position of yesterday’s full Hunter’s Moon 24 hours ago. (Look at East on the sky chart.) Now note the waning gibbous moon on today’s chart. After 24 hours, the moon has swung almost sideways (instead of downward), so that is why the waning moon rises sooner after sunset in autumn than at other seasons.
Last night, the full Hunter’s Moon shone all night long last night. However, watch again tonight, as the waning gibbous moon repeats the performance, lighting up the nighttime from dusk until dawn!

Hope you understood that.....;}

Why is it important to me?

I had plans on remaking my broom with this year's bountiful harvest of wheat stalks taken from Superb [where we used to live] land. My other one bit the dust a few years ago and I have always wanted to replace mine, as I miss my vehicle of choice....

;)

Must leave you with this scary sight...

No.......not the Space Cat or Space Devil
[PoD & QoH many, many, many moons ago and that many pounds lighter]

NO DECORATIONS IN THE BACKGROUND!

This was one of my "Repressed" periods!

The decor snuck in once the first kid flew the coop!

Speaking of decor...

Need a fast idea to make little "Ghosties" and all you have are those annoying tampons left around...

Or maybe get gruesome...

I LIKE TO BE HELPFUL...;}

Wednesday, March 17, 2010

I was up before the birds and the sun this morning!

What a gorgeous morning too!

A slight breeze [a little cool] and only had a sweater on...

Snow is almost all gone [in back yard] and it's even dry around the garage door...:)

Nice morning to have a St. Patrick's Day Parade...

through the first sign of spring at my place...

WTF!!!!

Did look around for something that might have been wrapping it's arms around me....;}

Okay........It's dark out at that hour

and it can be somewhat creepy.....

Happily it was just a stuck shutter or else the parade might not have happened...;}

Once again....

Notice how dry the ground is, yet it is still too frozen to be able to remove the bush lights.

 Enter into my....... "Green World"

Which just happens to be full with the decor from the wedding. I'm leaving some out for display so grads and whomever can give some ideas to or confuse even more...

It's sure crowded! Happily I don't need to get through it that often...;}

Didn't find the pot of gold but someone left gold nuggets around "Creepy Stump Dude"

This is Thumber's favorite spot to look out the window to a world that scares her?

One thing I love is ivy!

I can't grow it worth a damn but love to use it to decorate with...

Bad thing about lots of foliage is...

where to put it...

It can't be kept in a bag or box for too long, as the leaves become crumpled looking...

I even have a shamrock tree...

bet you thought shamrocks only grew on the the ground...;}

Notice all the space on the desk?

Other computer has gone for a rest break and I am finally becoming happy with this one. My old eyes appreciates the smaller screen too!

Bigger is not always better when you have to sit that close...

Guess the parade has ended and its time for me to start to work...

so

HAVE A HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY

Murphy's Lesser-Known Laws

1. Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

10. When you go into court, you are putting yourself into the hands of 12 people who weren't smart enough to get out of jury duty.

That being said...by someone else by the way
BillyRoo and PoD headed out of town today, in the early am [7] to travel to the north ford because he has to appear for jury duty selection! PoD's going just for the shopping heck of it and to get out of the "four walls syndrom" that has been driving her crazy.

He's had to take the day off work [which he hasn't been back at all that long] in order that he might be honored to have to decide someone's fate? Something he is not too happy about, as his bills still have to be paid. He's hoping that his just starting to work will help him get out of it. But mostly, he really doesn't want to have to decide someone's fate!

I know somebody has to do the job but not at the expense of an innocent person who's had nothing to do the crime. It's kind of like punishing them as they are the ones that will have suffer any consequences that might stem from this trial.

We also figured that he might have been chosen just because he had been on the government's paycheck awhile back and not working meant being available?

I have never been chosen to sit on a jury and I wouldn't mind doing so now [not busy] just for the heck of it. I think it would be interesting but I too have the problem with making a final decision on their lives.

Makes one wonder how they really decide for the first pick?

Then, if they're lucky, they get to come back again for the final pick [more time off] and then have to be there for the actual trial!

They do get paid but it's minimal at the best.

Should be interesting what turns out....

CAME IN LIKE A LAMB...

Thats how the weather was this morning at 4 ish...

Although it had to stagger through the frost/fog to get here...;}
It is now a balmy -1 Celcius with a wind chill of -8...

Came across some literature that would have explained this folklore better than missing that day in school when the teacher explained ...

"Does that apply for here in Canada?"

So, does that mean it's at opposite sides if it came in like a lamb?

All I know is that I'm sure not looking forward to seeing that lion....

Just might have to look up tonight to see for myself...
