[it hurts to pluck the eyebrow area...forget adding makeup]

Has been pretty rough lately...the excess skin [better known as wrinkles] around my eyes has formed itchy, oozing, swollen, crusty sores that I thought might be cold sores [herpes] but turned out not to be....:) for the herpes part...not for the sores part

It had gotten so bad that the left eye hardly opens enough to see out of! It makes me look like I've had a stroke!

Doc diagnosed as a bad case of eczema and is supposed to be able to be cleared up with a cortisone cream which ended up burning my eyes when it got into them. The label did say to not get it too close to the eye?

So why did the doctor prescribe this, seeing as it is around my eyes?

My Pharmacist prescribed something better that doesn't hurt when it does
and it seems to be working....

Somewhat better?

Only now I have noticed that the cataract in my left eye has gotten worse than the right eye and seeing through the two together makes for some very nauseating moments not to mention weird viewing!

Designing anything right now is a nightmare! There was a logo competition that I had to miss because of the pain of my eyes. I have a customer that needs his design plans finished for his invention....etc

So is writing and or reading of blogs!

I miss reading all the blogs that interest me and when I do manage, I can't leave comments on those who have word verification...:(

As I sit here typing, my eyes about 6 inches from the key board... the monitor is about a foot from my face and the light is killing my eyes...

I can hardly wait for the 27th! That's the left eye turn to be fixed...oh how I dread and long for it a the same time...

Still need to up date a lot and I have 2 haunted court house investigation to report on too...

So bear with me and all my crappy problems...

One happy note...

I got my Halloween decorations up outside AND inside!

Both before Oct. 1 !

I decorate in the dark...so that fun part hasn't been taken away...

AN UNEXPECTED GUEST...

Let me take you into what my blog is really about...hence it's title!

I for one believe that the loved ones who are deceased are not really gone from our lives and I like to think that they join us whenever they are needed and I have a nice story to tell you if you are willing to believe that it could be true....

Sat. Sept. 3 was the wedding day of a guy who spent many hours growing up with my kids. My son and him were in the same grade and were best buds for awhile.

It was great news hearing that he was tying the knot and that we were invited as he and my son had drifted apart...but then this is a small town so people really don't drift that far...

Anyways we had all decided to attend the wedding which meant dragging my son [all of us] to the church part! My kids were not brought up with a religion and have thanked me many times for that fact of not having to face the Sunday torture of having be preached over. But I do believe that if someone needs to get married in a church then THAT'S their prerogative but we should honor it and so we did...

With a lot of squirming and fidgeting and we all must of suffer from A.D.D but that wasn't our fault either...have you ever sat through a wedding that held a service too and that was officiated by someone who had a hard time with the English language?

All I kept hearing was him call the bride Allicia when her name was Alyssa and go on and on about someone named Sarah? Those whom I talked to afterwards said that they were used to his lack of English skills and normally he speaks through a mike...but that wouldn't have mattered anyways when one couldn't understand him period!

We did sit at the back of the church so we weren't bothering anyone with our in attentiveness.

I was also sitting on the aisle seat so I could take pictures of the bride/groom as they came in and this kept me busy for awhile until sermon time. I don't quite know how to explain this next part because I know the majority of those reading this will shake their heads and say that my mind is slipping again...but then why should I care what they think!

This is what happened...

A very loud thought came into my head and said "look up and take a picture"...so I did

Right above me in the 16th shot of the day was this large Orb! It was very bright on my camera and shocked me and something told me to look back and take another one...

I took lots more of the ceiling and everywhere in the church after those two but captured nothing...not even dust motes!

I also got the feeling of who it was too...

The feeling that this was him increased as the evening went on...the next questionable shot is #37 when they were cutting the cake.

We were only invited to the dance, so I wasn't able to take shots of the supper festivities but through these next shots it may show you some questionable spots that I like to call Orbs. The below photo shows them very faint although the one above the bride has a brighter edging to it.

The shot right after the above one came out all blurry EXCEPT for the Orb, which seems to be fairly clear looking. It also has a strong aura ringing it too! This took lots of power to show it this clearly and the fact that the camera focus on IT!

If any of you have been following my Orb quest most will know that this is a rare one with lots of definition to it! You will also see that this same Orbs shows up lots more in my photos.

The shot below which was #39... shows the size as smaller and what might be matrixed as a smiley face? I think there is someone there from her side as well, just not as strong as Gord's Orb. I think he really wanted to be seen as most of my shots after the cake cutting was from inner urgings that cannot be explained.

The next shot [#44] below is what I would call dust mote orbs and moisture orbs from the fog machine but who knows what Orb might be hiding amongst them dancing the night away....;}

As most know at weddings there is a lot of pranking stuff going on like; all the women have to dance with the groom and the guys for the bride. A normally shy guy did very well on the dance floor and seem to be having a great time and

Was also being watched...

This is another strong Orb behind the groom and has that same strong aura as the large one...was his dad on the dance floor too?

Keeping a close eye on him?

The bride had some of her followers too...

Although it did look like the large orb hung around too...

My last shot of the evening captured these three Orbs trying to get in on the photo action too?

The final largest Orb seem to match the one in the 4th photo from above and both of them has a bright aura around it that is quite thick.

As far as I am concerned the groom's dad suffered much in life with MS and lost his life because of it. It's fitting as far as I am concerned that he got to float around his family, to be there in spirit and hopefully they felt him there like I did!

And thank you Gord for the privileged of showing me what I have suspected all along!

PS:

Must add that my family and I thoroughly enjoyed the evening! I got to dance with my daughter and grand children and watch BillyRoo [son] hide whenever we got the urge to jump around.

This wedding also confirmed to him that he'd elope to Vegas before going through what he just watched his friend go through..."a walking nightmare" in his eyes!

Little does he know...that when the "love of his life" wants what she wants and it's a big wedding....I foresee trouble in their future...;}

But not to worry there doesn't seem to be any "love" interests hanging around...
him or me....:)

THERE IS A SHINNING LIGHT SOMETIMES!!!

My grand daughter, AJ, started back to school this year with an apprehensive feeling, dreading another dismal year of loneliness at school...;(

But also along with this apprehension was the strength to face those mean spirited peers with a strong will to win out in the end!

This is what I LOVE about my grand daughter the most! Her STRENGTH and WILL to forge ahead no matter what others think of her....:)

Do they judge her by her looks...?

She is tall, over-weight and extremely shy.....with a hidden disability...dyslexia.

Why the kids at her school have shunned her...I DON'T KNOW?

Her being dyslexic meant that she had to be in a "special education" class for some subjects [not any more though she's near being a honor student now].

But was this the problem for getting to know her?

If so, that's their LOSS!

But, like I said...

There is a shinning light to this post!

My dyslexic grand daughter just pulled off something that even I have never accomplished in life!

SHE IS HAVING ONE OF HER POEMS PUBLISHED IN A BOOK!

I AM SOOOOOOOOOOO PROUD OF HER!!!!!

I whine about having poor eyesight when this girl looks through mixed up signals daily in her brain all the time and comes up with an accomplishment like that!

AMAZING as far as I am concerned!

For this girl...writing poetry/stories and drawing is all that she has to express herself with and I am SOOOOOO happy that she has been given this talent to help off set some of the hurts that has to live with.

Only some may not like what they see and read of her work as it is very dark right now but I KNOW that this too will change as her life lightens. Right now the stuff she does has a shock factor to it and I like the challenge she puts out to others because of it. If you knew her life you'd know why too!

I have to acknowledge the helping hand that this girl found at her school. Her shining light...their Librarian...Bobbi Hebron!

AJ spent most of her spare time helping and hanging out there due to the personal exile at school and this woman took her under her wing. Through her encouragement she gave AJ the courage to submit something for publishing and take the chance to be rejected. [This is something I have a fear of and loath competitions because of it]. She has done sooooo much for this girl that words can never be found to express how thankful I am that this kind of person does exist!

She also helped put the museum back together and has gotten us our Paranormal Room

Sadly, she will be moving away and this town is going to be short one great person!

Anyways....

AJ submitted one poem and one short story. The story didn't make it but the poem did! It was a contest open to anyone 14 and older. She received her letter, of acceptance the other day, of making the publishing level and now goes on to the prizes level. As far as I am concerned she already got the prize and the other would just be the icing on the cake!

Soon as Bobbi found out the good news she let everybody know and AJ's life at school changed that day!

She received LOTS of congratulations from many who never have given her the time of day and I hope things have started to change for her. She's in Grade 9 this year and hopefully a start of a new era for her but one has to wait and see...

I hate having to add a negative to such a happy tale but I have found that fame fades quickly and some people never grow up!

Only I KNOW that my wonderful grand daughter will always have the courage deep inside of her to persevere through whatever is thrown at her!

Maybe I should be thanking those mean kids for forcing her towards learning rather than having a good time!

I'd rather see a happy child ALL of the time!

Where Have I Been?

This should be the new name for my blog!

I do have excuses....

As you all have read over and over again about my cataract problems and it's woes...

Add a CRASH OF MY COMPUTER!!!!! June 14th to my already mountain of woes!

My Hard Drive CRASHED!!!!!!

UNRECOVERABLE are words you never want to have to hear...

ESPECIALLY if your livelihood DEPENDS on it!

ESPECIALLY if you haven't backed-up your work since Feb.23!

Happily my Ex and I still talk to each other cause he came to my rescue and got me back up running again the very next day.

Only he couldn't restore ALL OF THAT LOST WORK!

Because this IDIOT kept putting off doing the back-up needed to ensure not losing it!

Remember me telling you all of the tire-kicking estimating that I had been doing and wasn't getting paid for it cause it was JUST estimates....

Well the majority of the "Just estimates" were lost, they were NEEDED not long after the crash...

Go Figure!

Which meant they all had to be redrawn all over again!

Not great news for someone with failing eyesight!

All of that wouldn't have been too bad if it wasn't for them all having a time limit!

Most was for the town's 100th birthday July 23. The town's Rec Director had made a push for getting advertising for the arena which would hold the ceremonies. Perfect for advertising which I was getting in on too.

Let me tell you....all of the signs did get done in time! Thanks to a hard working PoD and LONG hours!

Only they NEVER did get put up in time for the big event!

The lazy Rec Director never got around to it and from what reports I have heard he had PLENTY of time to do it?

Thankfully that wasn't my fault but my customer's are slow in paying for those signs BECAUSE of that fact of NOT getting their advertising that was promised! Guess it's Always MY fault!

During my work frenzy I missed updating my blog with useless info that's only important to me but have come to learn that it's an important memory tool for me too!

A lot of the lost info and important dates were recoverable because of my trivia drivel on my blog. I have used past stories to revive the info not filled in scrapbooks that haven't been updated either!

I'm very anal about recording stuff!

Only have to learn to get anal about UPDATING IT!

My Blog is kind of like a diary for me and really isn't meant to be there to entertain others in the world, which I really don't have to worry about seeing as only a few ever comment...;{

Things I did miss while the work frenzy was going on was attending Wilma's 40th birthday bash held in a hall not far from my house. It happened soon after my crash and I wasn't in any party mood...nor was PoD.

Happy Birthday Wilma....better late than never, I say!

Did have a gift for her that ended up in the dump! It has a weird story...

Seems I always find time for Garage Sales!

During the town-wide one I came across this gorgeous oldish looking mirror with neat ornate edgings...kind of gave me an idea about a mirror for her bar in their basement. The mirror was in excellent shape and even the backing looked kind of new like? The owner even said that she never hung it cause it never fit anywhere. My intent was to embellish it with a funny quote in vinyl somewhere on the surface area.
When I got the mirror home I stood it up facing my cutting machine and computer. It stood there for two days before a work day.
Right from the start we had problems with the machines. The computer didn't want to start? The cutter moved when it wasn't even turned on and both PoD and I witnessed it! From the moment I had brought the mirror into my place I had a dislike for it? It felt strange? Jokingly I said to PoD that it must be the mirror spooking the machinery and felt the urge to remove it from the place. So I put it outside in my storage vehicle with my Halloween decorations and forgot about it.
When I came back in, PoD said all was back to normal with the machines after I had left with the mirror...? Coincidence?
A few days later I went to retrieve the mirror to put the wording I had prepared for it, on it, when I found that the frame had broken away on the bottom. The frame was still stapled to the cardboard backing and that was still attached to the rest of it? The mirror had not been broken...just the frame and there was no way to pull it apart the way that it was without breaking the mirror. It had been a bit warm outside and was possible that the mirror could have expanded enough to force the frame to split...but why only one end?
I got a cold chill up my spine when I saw that and thought it through enough to cause me to question whether I wanted to give something with an odd aura about it to a friend not to mention ever wanting to have it around...so to the dump it went with a cleansing performed over it to make sure that the weirdness didn't hang around after it left!

The decal is still here for her if she wants it...:)

Anyways...

Other important info needed to be recorded was the fact that I have lived in this place now for 4 years...my the time has flown!

The grand kids left for their 3 week visit with their Alberta relatives on June 28 and that left exactly 3 days to work on getting Grad together. This meant rounding up lights and wrapping poles. I had shown in an earlier post the diamond theme this year and had big plans on making lots of cardboard ones....that never happened due to our rush.

The end result was because of a dream of someone else who had the courage to go it alone on the planning of majority of the decorating...

The entrance way table was her idea but the archway was mine. This was the last area to be decorated and was hastily put together. By the time we got to this spot all were tired [except for me] of decorating and it showed. But by then all didn't care either...except for me

The theme did not match the decoration theme? But how would one do that by that dumb saying anyways? I'm glad this was off to the side and not too noticeable.

This what the stage looked like. The bags on the floor in front of the head table all had the kids name on them and wasn't my idea either...:) This to hold all of their goodies?

The big diamond that sits in the center is a posing stool and is for their photo op after the ceremonies. The kids came out from the curtained area to the right and paraded around the stage then down the steps to their seat. The little shoes that you see in the foreground were done by me

The above photos shows the hall layout and their table centerpieces. The most awesome thing to me were the blue origami folded napkins that each held a peppermint patty in the center. This woman made over 200 of them...happily with no help from me!

Surprise of all surprises I have NO Orbs to point out to you all lurking on here...

This all my eyes can stand for now...I still have July to catch up on and that will include photos of the town's 100th, our HUGE parade, our float and even a Paranormal Investigation on the 29-30...this kills my eyes and gives me a headache so it may be slow

And maybe an update on the Darkside Zodiac for Cancer then one for Leo...

WHATS UP WITH ME...

Things haven't been going so good with me lately...

I been having issues with my eyes!

For some time now I have been unable to distinguish the difference between dark colors...like wearing one navy sock and one black one...not fun for someone who makes her living by using colors!

For the longest time I have had issues with age changing my eyes and looking through bi focal lenses became quite a challenge with perception in my drawings.

Then I noticed that my vision perception had changed in how I looked at things. I could see the object, knew what the object was but it began to have no details to it. Hard to understand unless you have gone through it.

Of course being diabetic I wondered if it was just a case of the sugars being too high...in which some cases it was, but not all of the time!

The biggest difference was in my left eye and any time on the computer [which is A LOT] gave me massive headaches! Typing any stories or pamphlet designing with lots of wording had become near impossible, so I've had to rely on PoD [daughter] to do all of these chores. Of course I couldn't ask her to do my blog so that's why there has been no activity here.

All of this has been very scary for me!

My livelihood depends on my eyesight!

Like the fool that I am sometimes I chose the business over my eye sight and put off having my eyes checked out [my last eye exam was in 04] and denial of what was happening to them didn't help either! Also the though of having to fork out more money that was slated for getting me out of debt didn't help either!

I don't have any extra health plan that covers eyes or dental problems so of course they would have to go on the back burners, so to speak!

Stupid thoughts for a 60 year old who's body is slowly beginning to breakdown!

Denial is a pretty big word!

Anyways...

Fortunately I have wonderful kids that look after me when I do these stupid things! My daughter came to my rescue and forced me to see an eye doctor on Monday!

The news wasn't good and he felt that I needed to see an eye physician immediately!

Talk about scary!

I'll take on all the scary ghosts in the courthouse any day compared to having that news given to me!

So that meant going home and wait for the appointment to happen...which had a possibility of a week to two week wait!

Didn't help either having a family history of a brother with a macular degenerative disease that has made him go blind and that its hereditary!

Thankfully yesterday morning I got a call that there was an opening and could I be there at 3:00!

Again poor PoD had to rescue me and drive me there, as even driving has been near impossible for me...;(

I also have to mention that my ex has come to the rescue many times with the use of his vehicle, as PoD's car is out of town right now with her husband.

Stress has been a BIG word lately and those who have IBS like I do means that the old bowels have been working overtime too!

I also have to mention that none of these eye doctors live in our small town! The first one was a hour away and the other a hour & half so we have gotten to see a lot of highway with boring scenery. Granted, it was scenery that I might never get to see again loomed heavily on my mind as we drove there!

Waiting at doctors offices has never been a pleasant thing for anyone and I'm no exception with it! It did have a TV that was stuck on the "Game Shows" to entertain those who were interested or maybe it was to take your mind off of what might be your future?

It was having magazines to read about what one might have that was the scariest for me! Especially the one on Macular Degenerative Disease!

I had all of the symptoms!

Visiting an eye doctor means lots of stuff is put in your eyes and lots of pictures been taken leaving one nearly blind by all of the searching being done which leads to headaches...

But in the end there was an answer...

I have cataracts in both eyes! The left one being the worst!

The thing is...you can't see them because they aren't on the surface! I remember my dad's and his made his eyes look milky looking...I don't have that! Mind are deeper?

Anyways...they are correctable!

:)

This will mean two different surgeries that's needed to correct them, but will leave me with not having to wear glasses except for up close work!

Gotta love that one!

The other fact...its covered by my general health care and won't cost me anything!

The glasses that I will need are those generic ones bought in drug stores and they are cheap!

WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG?

The moral of this story for me is...

STOP BEING AN ASS ABOUT WHAT'S IMPORTANT...

My health is more important than my financial problems... without it I wouldn't be able to do anything about it anyways...duh!

First it was my heart and now my eyes...

They say that age is supposed to make you smarter?

I wonder how old I have to be before that happens?

Now time to go worry about the surgeries in which I will be awake for...

I can see that needle coming for my eye right now to freeze it...

CAT HERDING AT IT'S WORST!

I have nothing but respect for those who teach teenagers or should I say young adults who are going to be let loose on this world in June...

;}

I am referring to our "Friday the 13th Ghost Tour" in our haunted court house.

I had figured on there being around 20 kids or so...well the or so turned up to be 29 total! Add some chaperons and we ended up having 38 in all!

Wanna see what I saw...

PoD is holding the door open while I am in my favorite spot...taking pictures. There were a few others [chaperons] not in the shot...[if you were counting those in the picture that is]...;}

Forget any other pictures after this...not possible, as it was absolute chaos after that shot!

Okay...now take all those kids and squeeze them into this building and expect to scare them. Wasn't possible, except for one poor girl that was too terrified at the end of the tour to retrieve an object she had left in the safe room by herself. PoD had to go with her so I guess we managed to scare one for sure.

But it really wasn't about scaring that we had intend to do when we gave this tour. Our intention was to open up some eyes of the really skeptical ones and judging by the question period at the end, we had some people going away with thoughts of maybe there is something to what we are finding about the paranormal in there.

As for the tour itself...never that many together all at once! At least for this age group! I would ask for the interested ones be in one group and the bored ones to be in another group. Although I do have to add that these kids were pretty wound up from their trip and that didn't help with some of their short attention spans!

One girl from Toronto kept us on our toes with questions against what we were doing and that was fine...she had some very intelligent questions that happily we were able to raise some doubt in her skepticism.

PoD did most of the talking, which was okay with me, as I found that this age group had a tendency to annoy me with their antics! I found that I had to do more watching for them handling the artifacts, which they were told not to touch or pick up! The rooms were too crowded for any control even with the presence of their chaperons.

To tell you the truth...if I had been one of the ghosts, I would have stayed out of sight with all those hormones in one tiny room...I tell you! There were times that I wanted disappear!

We started are tour by showing them the safe room or the "Control Center" where the research teams set up their equipment. Then up the main foyer stairs to the law offices and court room where we give another long story on what happened in those rooms. That ends with the tour through the Judges Chambers and down the back stairs to the basement.

By the time we have toured half of the basement, my throat hurts so much from trying to make myself heard over the over active kids! I was so thankful for remembering to bring my water bottle with me. But that didn't help completely with the hurt on my vocal cords. I wasn't doing as much talking as PoD but her voice sounded better than mine did. But then, she still has kids at home that makes her vocal chords in much better shape than mine...;}

It doesn't get dark here until 9:30 or so, so we weren't able to show them just how dark it is while we do our investigations. This might have added more chaos tho, as there were some boys that were trying to scare others and that can get out of control quickly in the dark! So I'm glad that it wasn't dark too?

One neat part is that PoD got to show her half-sister and half niece what it is that she does in her spare time. You see, PoD's half sister didn't want anything to do with her biological father's family as she felt that he abandoned and her kids, for his new family? It's a very messy story that hurts all and hopefully one day maturity might happen and things will be better. It's none of my kids or my fault as we have tried to mend fences without any results. My grand daughter is in the same class as her son and she didn't want her son acknowledging having a half-cousin...etc. So they haven't conversed.

Until now...

She asked PoD a few questions...

I know that sounds small but it's a step forward...

So in all, I say Friday the 13th tour offered up something different for us...or not, we'll see?

Anyways...

The tour only took an hour...felt like 3!

We were told that all had enjoyed it and they thanked us...

So hopefully it was true and we haven't hit their record books as being crazy?

One question that stuck out mostly in my mind was...

"If this place is so haunted why isn't it famous or on TV?"

Our response was...

"We're working on it"!

Other than that, the day was uneventful and things weren't unlucky in my mind...

Except for the next morning at 4:00 am when I was awaken by loud people noises and got to watch the drunk antics on the porch roof next door at the party house! There is no balcony or porch...this is the ROOF of their porch. There were 3 of them [2guys/1girl] sitting all wrapped up in blankets [it was pretty cold out] drinking and passing a joint, being really loud, while watching the sunrise! I stayed up to watch them...to see whether any of the idiots would fall off but I was disappointed. Although, it would have been pretty gruesome if they had fallen on my side, as there's a pointy fence and sidewalk within their fall zone that might have caused some pretty serious damage if they had!

The other eventful thing was three garage sales in which I got PoD to attend with me [I'm too crazy a driver for her] and she picked up an elliptical trainer really cheap...she was looking for a treadmill so she was happy. I came away with some crafty stuff and office files for pennies!

Did I ever tell you that I LOVE garage sales!

;)

Then later that day my nap was interrupted by my son-in-law-landlord and my grand children ripping the back deck off the house!

This has been in the works for awhile as it was badly in need of replacement!

My job is to draw up building deck plans that will pass inspection...

This will be my second experience in deck building. The other one was in Kelowna 1980! That one was much larger so this one shouldn't be too hard...

We'll see...

IT'S A HAUNTED TOUR...

ON FRIDAY THE 13TH...

Does that sound ominous or what?

Tonight [7:00] PoD and I are off to try to scare some grade 12 students and maybe some adults...

A hard task!

Teenagers can be very skeptical at that age about a lot of things...sometimes just to be contrary or to be more macho in front of their peers...?

Our grade 12 students have an exchange program with the students from Toronto [Ont] and the students will arrive in town later this afternoon. We've been asked by the hosting parents to give a spooky guided tour through our town's wonderfully haunted court house and to scare the crap out of them...their words not mine!

Of course, we accepted!

Although, it was a toss up between a paranormal investigation being done in Regina [that we were kindly invited to attend] this weekend with the group [Sask Paranormal Shadow Hunters] that we had hosted here in Feb. There was a few places they were investigating that sounded interesting but seeing as we had already promised this weekend to the students, we had to decline. But very thankful that they had considered us enough to offer us an invite. Hopefully in the near future we can attend another one?

Anyways... tonight will be a challenge?

Hopefully there will be some maturity involved with this age...but past experiences with the Halloween tours, leaves me apprehensive about so many [approx 20] all at once, in a group.

The Toronto students arrive in town sometime this evening straight off the plane in Saskabush, a rough 2 hr drive on scary highways to here, then board wagons to tour the town and cemetery [you know us country hicks...;}] ending up with a barbecue on the court house grounds.

The spooky tour in the court house is planned for 8:00.

I can see them either all totally hyped up with all that has happened with them so far or hopefully so tired from the flight/drive/wagons/food that they let themselves get scared...;)

And maybe we will get lucky and they will all be believers and come away with a great experience of the paranormal....

One can wish?

Will take lots of photos but promise no shots of faces if possible. Will try to get a group photo and will post with permission of course.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY....

The happiest part of this day is the fact that I gave life to 2 amazing human beings who mean more than life its self to me!!! Having grandchildren has only added to it!

Get between me and my kids/grand kids and you will see one very mad mother bear!

If anything, I would say that I raised my kids as both a mother and a father!

And YES....I will pat myself on the back for all of their GOOD traits and let you know that the BAD ones are HIS!

Sadly, I cannot say Happy Mother's Day to my biological mother in person because she passed away when I was 10...;(

To say that I remember much about her...I don't! I do remember some things but not much...parents aren't that important to kids at that age, so they think.

Her passing was also a very tragic time for me, as I experienced her death through a dream and later experienced seeing her ghost through out our house. Having the dream and later seeing mom's ghost caused problems with me and my sister "Buttons"...she believed me and thought she saw her once too!

When the step mother appeared on the scene, she couldn't take my/our spooky tales and felt that I had convinced my sister that she was crazy too? Her solution was to send us both to see a psychiatrist! It took me two sessions to decide that that I hated him and wasn't going back! What I did learn from his sessions was to never tell anyone ever again about odd things that happened to me after my mom's death...buried it deep is what I did do!

The thoughts that I do remember about my mom are happily only good ones...:)

Sadly I don't feel much of a connection with her?

Our time together was a short 10 years and much of those years had to be shared with 5 other siblings! My baby years were interrupted with the arrival of my younger sister [18 mons between us], so my babyhood was even shorter.

This was also a woman who slaved for her household. I don't recall any of us ever doing house work! She even made her own soap because she had to, not because it was a hobby! We were also very poor, so she made a lot of our clothing! She had no time for kids. One statement I do remember was when I thought I was adopted [I thought I didn't look like anyone in the family...they all had brown eyes and I was the only one to have blue, etc.] was "with all you kids, do you think I want to adopt one"?

I guess birth control was expensive back then? Kind of glad about that, if you get what I mean...;)

The woman that did spend a lot of time in my life [52] and made some major changes, was my Dad's fourth wife. This made her my step mother!

The EVIL step-mother!

There were times that I compared my life with the tale of Cinderella!

The step mother also had a daughter whom my Dad later adopted after their marriage. Our earlier years together as sisters was fairly rocky in the beginning but later has improved with maturity.

The step mother was an experience that will never go away and did make me part of the hard worker that I am today!

This was also a hard woman that had to live a hard life herself and knew no better way to teach her life's lessons. She grew up with a father that molested her, a mother that didn't care, a lover that abandoned her with their unborn baby and between all of them they created a very hard person!

Looking back now, those were my growing up years and were very important that a strong hand be used. Sadly, the compassion that had been lacking in her up bring showed towards us kids!

Her daughter was a different story! She ended up the spoiled one! Something she wishes had been different if she had only been shown the same up bringing! Her life was the bad side as a teenager and lots of mistakes were made.

The time that I did enjoy with my step mother was during my 20's while I lived in Edmonchuk. We did some crazy things together and had some great laughs so it wasn't all bad. Those were the years that I was proud to call her mom!

I moved out of the province after my first child and haven't been back to the old home front since. Not because of her, mind you. That was my ex's doing.

The step mom and I remained reasonably close throughout her remaining years. Buttons [who also moved far away] and I always made a point to visit whenever we were able to, more so as her health faded. Many a time we would rush to her bedside with the urgings of our sister [her daughter] with the dire warnings of impending death, only to have her rally to health.

She passed a year & 2 months before Buttons did!

Our step mother's will devastated both her and I. Not that we were expecting anything [she had left us something before she died] but thought to be remembered by last words of love!

We weren't!

I have never seen the will as all was left to HER daughter! Including her last thoughts!

But we figured if there were words on it for us, she would have let us see the will. She didn't! I won't ask, as I feel there is something on it that none of us should see? She says that step mother wasn't in her "sane-of-mind" but then that would make the will null & void?

For that... I cannot, in my mind, give out the days wishes for her easily!

She got her wishes when she was a good step mother and she should be happy for that and sad that she ended her well wishes to us in the will...as it made both of us feel unloved! It devastated Buttons more than me!

Petty as that may sound... I feel mother's day wishing is an EARNED honor!

As for my biological mother...it was her duty to stay healthy and not leave her family to the hands of others! Something I am trying to do for MY kids!

BillyRoo has already called me [6:30am] and wished me a Happy Mother's Day on his way out the door to work. He never forgets and makes sure to at least call...that's my gift! His gift to me is to stay safe and healthy!

PoD's gift is given to me almost daily by all the things she has to do for me...is MUCHLY appreciated!

THANK YOU BOTH OF YOU!!!!!!!

As for the man that was the father of my children...he didn't believe in thanking me for being the mother of his children.

I had to be content with "your not my mother so why do you expect a gift or wishes"?

Anyways....on with life

Yesterday was my first town-wide garage sale and was able to pick up a Mother's Day present for my daughter [for giving me grand kids...;)]...a ceramic 18" high Buddha to go with the pagoda that I bought [birthday last year] for her flower bed. I also gave her hanging pots for some vine types. Didn't find much for myself [tight budget] and was mostly a kids/baby-stuff sales. Did manage to get the son-in-law something for his collections that he will get on his birthday and something little for the grand kids.

Did get to enjoy it with an old friend that "Sales" with me yearly to that place...we continue our conversations like we had just left off from the last sales. It's so wonderful to have a friend that doesn't cling to me nor me to her...:)!

Am suffering a bit today from all the getting in/out of a truck and walking...the calf muscles are moooing from their lack of exercise. Seems all the walking helped only a LITTLE bit...;(

Must get in better shape!

The weather did not co-operate and it was a chilly 3 hrs but fun never-the-less!

Today seems to be continuing as the clouds this morning look like they are going to hang around.

Might snuggle under the covers and watch some movies...doing nothing sounds great.

I, for one, have to agree with what I have read about the Taurus traits in this book. I have MANY that are close to me and must admit they have left BIG hoof prints on my life! The males especially!

They say that marriage changes you...

I say it's your partner's traits that steers you that way...

It ticks off me to hear/read jokes about how women change after they get that ring on their finger...

My first marriage was to a Taurus...who ran herd boss over my life for 5 years...it felt like the ring was in my nose!

Reading about those traits brought back TONS of BAD MEMORIES! That thankfully ONLY lasted 5 years! But man, those 5 years were LONG!!! ;(

He took a somewhat shy, semi-naive girl and bullied her into something that was changing into the strong person that my [Aquarian] second husband help finish off!

I am resentfully for the lessons that it took to mold me the way that I am today but also grateful for them too! ?

My 2nd ex also has them drawn to him, thus I had them as close friends which later finding out that they were HIS friends and NOT mine! :)

Even lately the "love sites" send the Taurus men my way when I state not to...it must be the challenge that I emit to them?

Women are no problem, as friends, as they aren't interested in me that way...:) They actually make great friends!

Of my two exes, the Taurus one was the absolute worst! I still have residual nightmares with the things that he imposed on my life!

He was a scary stalker type and thankfully his feminine side came to my rescue when his darkside emerged. He did not know that a lot of his problem stemmed from the fact that he was gay and fought it! Thinking back on those times and adding up all the odd facts that occurred during it, made me come to the conclusion why he eventually ended up dead at the age of 30 or so. I never found out why or how he died, as I had severed all contact with him and his family after our divorce. I just know that he died! It was my step mother who informed me of his obit in the Edmonchuk newspaper, which never mentioned how he died? I often think his gayness was part of the reason why his dad committed suicide and left the odd note about it for him to find?

Summing up this guy would mean doubling those traits in strength and purpose! I disappeared [literally] from his life as my daughter happened during our divorce proceedings [those of you adding things up...no he is NOT her father as were separated for 2 yrs]and I didn't want him to know about her! Scary was too nice of a word for him!

He did provide me with a strong enough will to have a child on my own! Sadly, I let the next dangerous zodiac in my life...

It's bad enough having your own nasty traits but having a person just like you can be just as scary...but oddly nicely predictable?

Anyways...

As for my what's up with me...

As of yesterday, computer living was making my life hell! Damn thing was working in slow motion...like some people I know...

THANKFULLY I have computer-literate children that save my butt, time and time again!

This time it was PoD to the rescue!

BillyRoo [son] gives me crap when I don't do the updates when I'm supposed to and when I do, do them, I screw it up! ? ;(

PoD waved her magic wand, said a few choice [?]words and left me with it running in fix-it-mode...

I got the axe out and laid it on the key board with a few words of my own [really] and left it alone...to ponder it's fate

Spent the rest of the day clean house as I didn't have anything ready to put together sign wise.

Did fill the time with grad diamonds that didn't want to go together....left them in a pile!

Did have a painting committee job to do after work which meant someone was supposed to pick me up and didn't...wasted 2 hrs waiting? Was later called and apologized to, but was happy not having to do the painting work after all. Will be doing the second coat if she remembers today to pick me up...;)

So my Thursday turned out to be an annoying day which happily ended with the computer finally working properly!

YOUR FLAKE OR MINE...

Was PoD's [daughter] venture into community theater's 22nd. stage production this year...all alone as Stage Manager/Set Designer/Set Decor/Hall Decor...etc!

She did a FANTASTIC job as far as I am concerned, granted I might be a bit biased...;)

I, from first hand experience, know how hard Stage Managing is!
More apt title would be "Cat Herder"...if there is such a word!

The addition of other jobs just makes it even harder! Like me, she has to add extra work for added challenge by designing the set, plus help put it up and then decorate it...all according to someone Else's thoughts [author and the director]. This is not easy!

I had decided [along with her urging...;)]to continue to stay out of these productions as the burnt-out feeling that I had about participating in it, still lingers!

But... I am still available to them for any help that might be needed.

In the beginning, PoD started out with great strength and enthusiasm but by curtain time, she was feeling like I usually did...which sadly I was sort of happy about, as she was making me feel like I was a whiner with all of her energy and such.

Most will find that the task is harder than you think, as she did and had to swallow her pride by asking for some help with the set decor...

What was needed was to be more messy and she has a hard time with that as it really isn't in her nature. My advice to her was to have her think of her brother's room or maybe her kid's...

Talking about decorating...

I wonder if we had some company watching us that day...

This is a shot that I took for PoD's scrapbook and of all of the photos that I took that day, this is the only oddity that showed up?

I know most of you out there reading this have just rolled your eyes like an annoying teenager! Like what happened to me [during the night that I attended] when I mentioned it to someone. His first comment was the usual one that I get..."QoH, there aren't ghost everywhere that you go!"

How can anyone state that?

My usual response is..."How do YOU know that for SURE?"

I can at least provide proof or at least raise some doubt on the subject, with the photos/voice recorders and videos that we have gotten with our paranormal researches!

My time in this hall, all alone some nights, as I did my sets, made me feel other wise! I have also gotten some odd stuff in the shots that are just too hard to explain away! Plus we have gossip about a lady been seen entering the stage when there was supposedly no one else in the hall? When checking there was no lady! The report was not MY sighting!

I have an odd photo of what some might call the "Orange Angel" in front of a shop on main street even! So I think I can safely say that I can create some doubt in many skeptics on the paranormal being almost everywhere. Most think that it has to be the building that's haunted but they can be wrong...it might just be the LAND that it sits on that's haunted! There are different types of hauntings and most who will visit the courthouse after PoD and I add the paranormal info to the museum, will have to admit to some truth of this matter!

That said...here's more

Poor PoD was totally exhausted and could hardly keep her eyes open in this shot. She had volunteered to put hall decorating back into the production again with decor from previous events [made by me, except for the beach people...Ducky is mine] and I was there to assist in the put up and repair. The Hollywood sign is her master piece! It's very difficult to make HUGE letters and even harder when they are made out of table paper. They have no body and had to be taped to the rails...took some time and lots of bending. One thing about theater time is the great physical work out one gets by climbing the stairs numerous times to get stuff from the groups storage room [next to the H in the photo

The photo board was done by Wilma who did a great job in directing the cats that PoD had to herd...;)

Well done Director Wilma!

As mentioned, I attended Saturday`s performance and had a great meal with the company of some equally great people. Thanks PoD!

I sat next to one of the most wonderful ladies I have ever met and we had a great time catching up on past stories of previous productions. Her and her husband have never missed a single one!

I can`t say much for the horrible idiot sitting right behind me during the play, except that `your a _hole! His name is Annoying Person...see photo below. He kept making loud comments to the characters and thought he was offering up support as an audience member, when all it did was throw them off! I hate those ones and that fact that he was drunk and or stoned didn`t help!

Our seats were closer than I`d liked but as one gets older it might be just something I have to get used to...;(

The odd outlining around the stage masks are reflective and not something paranormal...;)

The one thing I did like about these productions was the food table for the cast and crew! There was never any time to eat the meal provided or even the urge to eat a big meal while nerves ate at you so we would bring something for the snack table.

In the pic below it looks like there was an extra guest...

I hate to think there was dust around the food...;(

As for the Orb...it probably could have used the food for energy....I little ghost humor...

And for actor`s humor... there is the awarding of the `Ham Award` which amazingly PoD did! That was one thing I didn`t do! I assisted in a few on stage but never announced...not my thing! The actor that I voted for didn`t win...;(

But I must admit my second choice did!

Again there was an added watcher...

As for being a dust mote...not bad for a hall being full of people with LOTS of movement...

It should have been snowing dust motes in the picture!

In all of my shots these are the only oddities that are unexplainable to me.

As for the single orb in most of the shots looks like the one that I get in a lot of my shots. There is one paranormal guy out there that feels that these ones have a tendency to follow a person...

Is this one mine or Pod`s....

As for comments on the production...it was very funny and well done by all!

I'm working towards retirement (aren't we all?) and enjoying my friends in the BDSM lifestyle. Anything Star Trek (SciFI), James Patterson (most mysteries), John Norman, James Herbert, The Marketplace Series, CCR, Tom Petty, Older Rock n Roll, classical, instrumental, some of most genres of music, and books. Mexican, meat n potatoes, American cuisine. One thing that's my favorite American (southern) dish is good, ole navy beans and ham or pinto beans with bacon. Mix either of those with a side of GOOD cornbread and some fried taters and I'm in heaven. (Not great for the cholesterol, but sure tastes good.) I originate from the West Coast but my parents were from the South, so those foods are the ones I prefer most. Foodwise, I tolerate eating things that swim or fly, but you won't see me eating any fish or fowl that often. Music is wonderful and I almost always have some going in the background. I'm not much for the lyrics (but SOME do catch my attention) and mainly listen to the rhythm and beat...no matter the genre (and yeah that includes SOME rap.) Two songs that come to mind that kinda epitomizes me are Charlie Pride's old chestnut, "I'm Just Me", and Uncle Kraker's "Follow Me."

Six things I could never do without...

Books, movies, music, computers, my slave, friends, and a roof over my head. Of course I need the other necessities of life like air, water, food, and shelter. I also need solitude now and then, and open, honest, close friends. I need the sexual stimulation and closeness of good friends, lovers, and companions. While raised in the Christian sense, I need my sense of spirituality which encompasses many other religions, including pagan. I NEED honesty, integrity, and respect...both given and received. If you can't provide these things, then it's doubtful that we would be a good match.

I spend a lot of time thinking about...

I'm impulsive at times and like to enjoy whatever my particular mood or inclination takes me...whether it's listening to music, spending time online, talking, or having great sex. It's all good and we need all those things. It's just best when it's spent with like-minded friends and those closest to you. My friends tend to be part of my extended family, some with whom I share extra benefits. It's not always what you do for fun and relaxation as much as who your share it with.

Can't think of much to put in here. I'm pretty open and honest about myself. Want to know something? Just ask!!! I'm often a private person in some aspects, but that's not something I think about. If something is private it's only because not everyone would understand or accept those things. I'm not hiding a thing, however. I will gladly tell you about any private situation or moment in my life. I've had a long, full, and exciting life and have so many special moments that I don't honestly know what ONE thing I'd put here. Hence, my suggestion to contact me and ask.

As for the rest of my interesting life...

Sinus are acting normal for this time of the year...gotta love the itchy eyes and how they love to run with the dust and crap, kind of keeps up with the nose...big sigh

Our snow is almost gone and I saw my first robin on Sunday...there's even been some new little birdies that I must try to photo and see if anyone knows what they are? Sadly never have the camera handy when I do see one...hope they stick around for me to snap it. Our area is a main fly zone for a lot of different species of birds, so one wonders if some get lost...;}?

My slow time never hit...designing like crazy but money never appeared? I HATE TIRE KICKERS!

Been busy giving out FREE advice on grad decor ideas and the parade float signage is starting...but these are just proposals. My main customer's, the oilfield, is on hold right now due to it being too wet to go into the fields!

You should try budgeting for 4 months without any serious income and see how you live...teachers have to do it for only 2! One does keep wondering how I exist? I do have a guardian soul that helps me when I do get too desperate and a large order has landed but that payment will take another month to get here...big sigh

I HATE being a owner of a business sometimes...we don't get unemployment benefits!

BIG SIGH...

Been trying to walk twice a day, as this is the bug-free time and am so enjoying it! Aside form the once-in-a while cold wind nipping at the face...it's been refreshing having the cobwebs blown from the brain...

Another project that has been occupying my brain cells is our final acceptance of the paranormal into our town's museum!

PoD and I, along with the financial support of my business, are putting the Shadow People shapes and Orbs where they have been seen and documented. We've also been given space to hang photos and paranormal info. Our deadline for completion is the centennial celebration in July! PoD is almost at the end of her commitment with dinner theater [I stayed out of it] and we plan to get at it going soon after....I have to give her a break first she says...

Been also waiting to hear back from the town council whether I can keep reporting about the courthouse hauntings...seems I need their permission on some things for a new blog I'm planning on just it.

As for decorating theme wise...the Easter bunny has found his way here already! I only wish he would stop dropping off those marshmallow bunnies that I love soooooo much...kind of defeats the walking purpose...

Or maybe I should walk further so I can have more bunnies...

WHAT HAVE I BEEN UP TO....

Well this morning I woke at 3:30 am wondering what kind of snow fall was awaiting my shovel...as yesterday's forecast was for 5 cm with more during the day!

This what Mother Nature had for me....

All the hearts [that I could find] had been collected from the outside and with the melt, there were none to been seen!

This is a light plastic item and with the wind we had last night it's amazing that it stayed at the front door!

This was also the only bit of snow that had to be swept away...
Of course, PoD had to go and ruin my happy thoughts with her comment of my Valentine's Day suitor leaving me a little reminder...:(

I rather think that it was nature telling me that this was okay for the heart....?

Anyways....

Been busy designing, inventing and putting together cardboard diamonds as props for this year's Grad....which is about "Diamonds in the Rough".

Diamonds were never a favorite stone of mine...too cold looking, plus out of my pocket range. What fancinated me was how they went from such a raw ugly stone to something so beautiful by cutting and polishing them.

Trying to make these cardboard props look like diamonds, took me back to when I was 20 yrs old [in Edmonton/AB] and my [first-ex] husband encouraged me to take up gem stone cutting. He bought me this amateur lapidary machine that looked something like this....

This is what my first attempt looked like...

The one next to the cut one was going to be my next venture only we ended up leaving Edmonton for BC and then my enthusiasm dwindled...plus it was too fricken hard!

I have nothing but respect for those who do this for a living! With all of those facets to cut with precision is amazing and worth the pretty penny they cost!

As for my puny attempt...the cardboard ones were just perfect for my idea of what a diamond looks like...granted these ones are very simple.

The grad committee wanted to have these diamonds on very slender poles with tulle draped between them. I opted to make the diamonds see through and they will house a flashing LED light or one-color LED light.

The rest shown on the table are proto types and they are to remind me that you can't make them out of card stock.

During the photo shoot Thumber wasn't too crazy with the flash disturbing her sleep...

Not only did they want pole diamonds but floor ones to cover the stage and photo OP area. Thing was...what size? Thus the variation of sizes.

I brilliant idea of mine was to make a photo OP Diamond Stool for the grads to pose with and even sit on. I just so happened to have a stool with no seat laying around that suited just fine...

16 hours later and arms that are going to fall off...sees my dream idea to completion

The stool is not completely covered in vinyl chrome...need to order more if necessary. Odds are no one will photograph the backside anyways...

Only thing left to do is prepare them master copies to make more cardboard diamonds...

That will be their job to make the rest.

Up next will be the archway...?

Heath Wise:

Thinking has been hard due to my sinus infection. Not much to do for it but put up with it! It's a good thing I can't type nasally because answering the phone to customers has been even harder to make them understand me...

My brother-in-law gave me a great "old time" remedy for sinus headaches...rub "Vic" mentholated ointment on your forehead...it works [for about 4 hrs] and then he said for full body aches with a cold...rub the stuff on the bottoms of your feet. Will give that a try next!

Other than that...I am still happy to be above ground...:)

I would SO like to dedicate THIS blog to my dear, darling, NASTY...older sister "Cork" or "Corky"...which ever one would piss her off the most! I only wished she read my blog!

I can normally forgive a family member based on the fact that blood is supposed to be thicker than water...or so they say, but HER, I cannot!

She's either 9 or 10 years older than me and made my live a living hell when we had to room together growing up! EVERYTHING belonged to her...including her clothing hand-me-downs, which she NEVER let me live down! The time era that I grew up in...wearing second-hand was a BIG NO-NO! She was also the one that enjoyed tormenting me about my stuttering the most which helped me to retreat into my own little world! I could go on and on...

Reading about her Zodiac Darkside traits, helps explain her A LOT! Doesn't excuse her tho... I've recently shared battle scars with my brother, Tank, about her and his are worse than mine! Her and her friends would beat on him, take whatever money he had and he was no small child like I was!

One could forgive that as growing up pains, but she continued her venom to me through gossip to her children/grand children, who now hate me? This was not related to me personally, I had to find out through my younger sister, Eener who is still in contact with our nieces/nephew.

My contact with her ended when she had moved to Scotland [abandoning her unborn first grandchild and daughter [16] to her boyfriend's family] to be with her rich new husband. Taking her other younger daughter...only because she had no one to leave HER with! We later learned that HE continually molested her and wasn't believed by my sis, her own mother! Money always came first with her!
My biggest blow [to me] came when I wrote her hoping for some kind sisterly advice on my marriage woes and was told bluntly to "suck it up" and do as I was told...after all marriage was my job?

She has since moved back to the home area and isn't in contact with anyone in the family [including her kids/grand kids] as we are all not good enough for her! My brother, Tank, did try to befriend her and her husband but didn't make their quality standards. Us White/Indian trash ain't no good to be hanging with!

So this one is for her! Did try to do it for her birthday on the 2nd but she got her whammy for that day as is was the day of "Button's" funeral in 2004!

Anyways...[so much for those karma coins]

DODGE GHOST HUNTERS GEAR UP FOR CENTENNIAL...

That's what the title of the town's newspaper story [Wed. Mar. 9/11] was...?

The biggest thing that I had stressed the ABSOLUTE MOST was that we weren't SURE whether we wanted to DO something for the centennial or NOT!

We are are only a group of "two" people!

We do have the capabilities to run such an event [we've done tours before] but the thing is...will we be able to get to experience any of the centennial too? The article states day and night!

I HAVE to have a float for the parade, for my business, as they want to have at least 100 entries. With the addition of the ghost tours I should have a float for that too? That means we don't get to watch it! As a business, I HAVE to DONATE prizes to whatever is planned to help fund them. Whine, whine, whine....;(

Our two other part-time investigators [4 hrs out of town] are planning on attending our festivities, but NOT to have to VOLUNTEER THEIR TIME helping us run these tours! They would do it, if we were pressed for help, but I don't think that would be fair to them either!

Thing is.... I KIND OF WANT to do it anyways...?

Most will say the EGO wants to show its ugly face and that part is wrong! I HATE public speaking and being in the lime light...most who know me, know that this is a FACT!

The thing I want the MOST is to see this court house achieve it's "Moment of Fame"! My hope was [with this article], was to open the eyes to the possibility of doing this permanently as a tourist attraction! Something to generate funds to help run the museum and gallery...which are deep in debt!

And maybe along with it...will be the opening of some very narrow eyes...:)

To be able to bring this medium out into the open with all the proof we have amassed is fantastic! Granted, the only ones who will attend will be the ones who already believe or are close to it. Still, they will pass the word no matter what...:)!

And if we are recognized along the way...then my family has something to brag about...;)

Guess that IS the EGO talking....;}!

Anyways....

The reporter, Fram Dinshaw [ The Citizen], starts his report...

"Two Dodge ghost hunters conducting a scientific investigations of apparitions in the courthouse are looking to lay on tours for locals and visitors at the Centennial party and make the town famous with paranormal seekers from the USA and Britain."...

With other excerpts...

"While touring the courthouse, this reporter saw an unexplained flash of light above a door off the hallway on the courthouse's upper level."

"The Citizen's camera went from a full battery to just one quarter after an hour in the courthouse"

I wasn't too crazy about his explanation of what "Orbs" are after what we told him [his note taking wasn't too great]..."which are bright, fast-moving collections of dust, formed by the energy left behind after a person dies."

Collections of DUST formed by energy?

We said..."when people die, [don't move on] they are this ball of energy, generally in the shape of a sphere. In order to move or change, they need energy. They will draw energy from anything around them, whether it's a living human or batteries! These show up on pictures as bright balls but are NOT to be confused with dust motes!"

"a masonic-style mirror has mysterious lines across the glass that bothe mother and daughter say are the work of orbs."

It's NOT a masonic-style mirror....it's a mirror in a masonic bench!

Plus we said..."the mirror gives off strange lines and shapes depending on direction of light being shone on it? It's not etched on as the back is sealed!"

Not once did we say that orbs did it! But then maybe they did and we didn't know it...

And lastly....

I was so happy that there was no picture of us...even though we did get all gussied up...;}

What they did show was creepy enough...that part I'll give them credit for.

They showed a darken shot of the creepy mannequin that scares PoD every time and the vault where the skull was kept!

Other than that we did get a half a page of free advertising...

That just might land us up in more grief...

AND...

We got to scare a complete stranger plus make him a believer in the fact that our court house IS CREEPY...if not haunted!

A HAUNTING WE WILL GO....part two

PoD and I arrived Saturday evening [5:30ish] to see a very sleepy group trying very hard to wake up...must of been the heat

Or maybe the spirits trying to suck their energy......oooooo;}

I could just imagine how I would have felt if I had stayed there with them all of the time, like the town wants us to do...

I would sure like these groups to try to do these investigations in the summer time, when the heat is off, then maybe I would be able to spend the full time in there.

Anyways...

Get going they finally did...but not me!

I opted to stay and monitor the video feeds at the command post while the others did their thing.

This is where PoD had to input this next part...

"Us girls, Terri, Treena and Jan, headed off into the darkness with some of their electronic gear that would hopefully record any EVP's [electronic voice phenomenon] and an EMF [electro magnetic field] Detector, to pick up any activity in the areas we were working in. We call this "Ghost Radar".

We also experimented with the Ovilus, I nicknamed "Olli".

"Olli" works by measuring changes in the environmental energy fields around it. It modulates the energy changes into audible speech using a synthesizer chip, an extensive English word dictionary, and a function that phonetically sounds out words.

The device has seven modes of operation. It includes a dictionary mode containing 512 stored words, phonetic mode (sounds out words by syllable), a combination mode (both dictionary words and phonetics) and a “yes” or “no” mode. It also features an electromagnetic field (EMF) mode that verbally outputs EMF levels in milligauss, a level mode that only graphically displays EMF levels, and a dowsing mode that simulates virtual dowsing rods. In the courtroom the "Ghost Radar" caught a lot of "dots" [energy] along with words.

The only thing that scared me was the mannequin in the Judge's living room! Every time I saw that thing, it made me jump!

While we were in the Judge's bedroom, the bed moved with me sitting on it! Meanwhile the others felt the movement of it on the floor! I was surrounded by the others and asked if anyone felt that or nudged the bed and NO was the reply! That was spooky!

In the Custodial Quarters, Olli, cussed at us! Which it has never done before... like saying "F -U" a lot! When I asked it if it knew who I was, it called me "a dirty girl"...:?

In the basement hallway we were all sitting around quietly waiting for Matty, Terri's husband [who was back home sick] to "astroproject" to her [something they have been experimenting with]. They had set a time and we were all supposed to focus on his attempt.

It didn't happen.

Olli entertained by saying "Red Orb" once. When asked "Matty, can you say Jan"? Olli immediately said "Jan"! When they asked to repeat it again it didn't! It has never done that before! It even said my name! It also said "John" a lot [they have a member called that].

The "Ghost Radar" never worked in the basement"!

End of my report...back to mom"

While they did their thing, I monitored it and the others.

I did do another investigation as the basement was calling me...

JUST KIDDING...;}

We dragged stack-able chairs downstairs to the Custodial Quarters kitchen ,as we didn't want to sit on any of the museum chairs [not allowed], in case any broke. Terri's dream was about this area, so we all sat around with an empty chair directly across from her. In her dream this chair scoots across the room towards her and she asked it "Who is here and what do you want us to know from you?"

It didn't happen...;(

Sure was spine tingling waiting for it tho...;}

We had set up Olli in the same spot that the previous team did [CQ hallway in front of bathroom and in sight of main basement hallway] and it was trying hard to spit out words/sounds upon plugging in! More active than usual! At one point, through my own mental frustration with it, I said "use your vowels" and right away it started rattling off these vowel sounds! Lots of them...like a child trying to get it all out without taking a breath! I swore at one point during this vast amount of spewing of vowels, it sounded like it said "thair for I am"[robot sounding]...that's what it sounded like not spelled like! I found that creepy!
A couple of times it used vowels when I asked it to use vowels? Other times it didn't? The word "vowels" does not activate anything in its programming.

At no time during this investigation did I have any ill effects from any of the searches! I did nibble quite a bit to keep the sugar levels high and spent more time in the cold air.

Again, I didn't get many "Orbs" or dust motes in my shots. In this below shot of PoD in the court room, I caught a single Orb and didn't notice the two orange orb-like objects. Checking later revealed street lights in the distance...we were just starting to close the curtains...

What turned out to be a smart idea was my Game Cam! I was able to capture more stuff and not have to be there or maybe be in some of the shots...;{

More Orbs...

The Masonic Mirror continues to give off it's mysterious lines...

Once again the "shadow people"/orbs did their "energy sucking" thing and we were all too exhausted to do any more! PoD and I decided NOT to sleep another night in this place! Her kids needed her [hubby works away] and my house needed me. We packed up as much as possible as they would be leaving as soon as possible when they awoke. I was taking the car and was going to see them off but she was not getting up to do so.

This is what greeted me the next morning....

Happily No One tried to sleep in the Judge's chamber...

And once again I didn't set up my camcorder in there either? If not movement at least sound...

Maybe next time...

That ends another investigation!

That Monday, I received a call from the local newspaper, wanting to do an interview about PoD and I. Arrangements we made to meet Friday, 6:30 pm at court house. I get a call on thursday night [before the interview] on "where are we"? He had been told that PoD had a meeting and we COULDN"T do it then...on the phone before said appointment...? Not boding well, I prepared a two paged description of us etc. to give to him. Which I did. At interview, which was to involve picture taking, his flash on the camera issued to him was faulty? Why bring an Iffy camera to an interview when pic might be important. Then two days after the interview he has a "roll-over" accident and loses info and maybe dead camera? He calls to let us know the details and warns that the issue might not have the said info with the statement that "they will print a retraction if we don't like what they printed. Kind of like to late if you ask me!

This should be interesting...

The reporter though it was a good job...

I only hope he remembered what it was that we didn't want him to be saying...

We see....it shows up today!

Us Night Owls and the Shadow People

Friday, Feb. 25, 2011 [8:45ish] found PoD and I zooming up the front driveway to the Dodge Court House, where she dropped me off to go open the place. That meant I had to be alone in there for at least one minute...or how ever long it takes this old biddy...;{

I quickly sped [ran] my way through the creepy foyer to the safe room and down the stairs to the back door...where I had to WAIT another half a minute for PoD to pull up...;{

Couldn't wait outside because it was even colder than it was at last weekend's investigation!

Next time I'll remember to get the BACKDOOR key!

The whole time [1 1/2 mins] that I had spent in there, was already creeping me out but I wanted PoD to experience what she felt without my influence, so I didn't say anything to her. The one thing that I did tell her was that it was hotter in there than last week!

We sat in the car for awhile to get nice and cold before we entered the building. PoD shared a dream that she had about a man holding up a crystal skull in one hand while quoting something garbled from Shakespeare.

I didn't have any prophetic dream but did say that I was guessing on who was coming. I had been informed that the usual crew of four [2 women/2men] with some surprise guests...unsure on how many or who yet. I stated that I felt it was going to be all women with a possibility of "Matt the blind psychic" might come, as he had expressed an interest in the place. But then I said I didn't think so!

Finally too cold to sit outside any longer we ventured in...

It only took PoD a few minutes to feel the same creepiness that I did...I hadn't said anything other that not liking that part of the job...

Setting up our command post took all out a few minutes with the exception of blowing up the air mattresses! All of this was put into the adjoining room that the town had opened up by making the part-time law firm's office smaller. This was great for all of the other mattresses storage too as they were huge!

We set the ball up again on the foyer stairs before they came and the other trigger objects were later placed during their introductory tour....

I'll save you the wait....none moved!

We might have had some movement with the little red/white ball but it had gotten kicked, so the replacement can't be guaranteed to have been put back within the circle drawn on the floor. We made sure these were all really light weight but heavy enough not to be able to be blown by passing breeze from any foot traffic.

That was as far as we got for setting up our Camcorder or Game Cam. The Camcorder ended up recording the ball on the stairs. We did try to put it upstairs in the hallway to the court room but we needed an extension cord...which was all the way downstairs.

The heat and creepiness up there made us change our minds about going back up to try again! The Game Cam was decided to go somewhere else later when the other arrived!

At 9:35ish we both heard what sounded like someone/thing stepped on the loose bottom stair at the back door...no one was there!

10:03ish the lights dimmed for a second then we heard the elevator start to move. This elevator does NOT move on it's own...someone has to hold the button to keep it running!

No one else was in the building but us!

Finally at 10:30 pm they arrived! Two vehicles loaded with people...2 men and 4 women. The youngest CLPI member, Amy, couldn't make it...;( The other guest were 3 women PoD and I had met at their Symposium last Sept. I was right on the women and the odd thing was...Matt and his wife had planned on being here together but be became ill and couldn't...his wife came anyways! My premonition sort of came true. The guess wasn't from what they had said to me at the symposium either because MANY expressed a wish to do so on their next hunt...it was only a matter of who could get the time to do so!

Jan, CLPI leader, likes to vary their investigations with different ways to research the mental aspect of being alone in a scary place plus have some fun while we do it. We don't joke around at all when out on a serious session as it is important to record things clearly without external noises.

So when she came up with this great idea to try out the "hands free, self filming investigator" apparatus that they use on these ghost hunting shows. Lots of laughs getting their version of it on the two willing victims, Marie & Treena. Terri opted to not try it and laughed her self silly watching as PoD and I did!

Marie was taken by Jan and I, blind folded, to the basement, where we left her alone in the Men's old jail room. She was then given a paper to read out loud after we had been gone a couple of minutes....

"You are in a very haunted location, say the words below and then find your way back to the safe room."
Guardians of the Spirit realm, hear and guide my plea.
When the witching hour rings true, bring the dead to me.
Bring all souls who hear my call and let their form be true
Once they've shown, go back again for then my wish is through!"

I was a little leary about leaving her completely alone in that room full of hazardous uncatalogued museum farm equipment with little walk room, so I waited at the stairway entrance to upstairs.

I was able to scare her by taking her photo as she turned the corner...;)

As for Treena, Brett and PoD, deposited her in the Judge's bedroom. She had to make her way back down through the living room, down the haunted hallway and back stairs after reading the same note.

This was a little scary for Treena as hers was the longest walk, whereas we should have taken Marie to the back bedroom in the Custodial Quarters instead...that would have been much more creepier!

It broke up the tenseness of the court house for me.

Jan then interviewed everyone on their take of the place and if we had any predictions etc.

Treena felt sadness entering Dodge then again upon entering the court house.
Marie felt anxious as this was her first ever investigation and not known what to expect.
Terri felt foreboding feeling about the place and also had a dream about us circle sitting in a kitchen with an empty chair that scoots across the floor toward her and she spoke to it.
Brett had a dream about a man named Al that lives in the old generator room and he can her a song playing, "Yesterday" by the Beatles.
John felt uneasy about the place.
I told you PoD's and mine.

As Brett and Jan went about deciding/setting up their command post and camera placements we toured around a bit in the dark areas. As we sat watching the monitor once it was set up, Terri saw a dark shadow standing next to Brett in the basement...then it was gone! This was caught on video hope it wasn't something explainable!

Once everything was set up and running, the whole group except for me [someone has to stay behind to monitor the video feeds and check for orbs and such] set off to explore the upstairs first.

That also was a good time to get the group photo before everyone got too tired and grumpy...;}

Before we set up the foyer stairs John had come out of the washroom closest to the stairs and said that it was unusually cold in there!

I wasn't able to get many Orbs and the dust motes were at a minimum so I will show what I did get...

As for being able to stay up too long we all had to crash at 4:15 am!

With the heat and their long drive [6hrs] and my usual crash of sugars...sleeping came easy!

For at least 3 hrs for me!

Kidneys and hot room made me have to get up ALL ALONE...seeing as there was no way I was sitting there all alone,, I had planned a breakfast meal to wake everyone up with. So I took PoD's car, went home for some cool air and made breakfast.

This is not something we normal do for sleep overs but as these guys have become close friends and let us bunk at their place for the symposium, I wanted to do this for them and my grand kids. It was only a baked "Wife Savers Casserole" but was enough to feed them and the kids.

My grand kids are old enough to be alone for hours as they are teenagers [or close to it, JD] and leaving them overnight without adult supervision was hard for PoD. Her father lives right across the street and we were only a block away but still difficult!

After breakfast we toured the building in the daylight giving the newbies a history lesson on the place. This brought us to lunchtime and we parted ways.

Yes...I gave them the key and lets them stay alone in the court house while we all had our naps! PoD stayed with her kids and I stayed at my place!

Until she called and we were away again...

To be continued...as I have to get the rest of the story from PoD as I didn't do too many investigations after that...I watched the monitors and kept note...

DEBUNKED...or not?

From our 8th investigation, PoD and I were left with the wonder of the red bat...

Turns out the group had used this as a trigger object and had left it there for us. We made note that it was still in the same position as they left it from last time [I had marked the placement]. The museum staff had made quite a few changes since we were in the basement last but the position of the bat never changed. The last photo I took before the #9 investigation group left with their leader beside me. The bat had moved! I had experimented with it before and it was to heavy to blow with foot traffic around it. Everyone had made note to watch out for it, so it wasn't hit at any time! Of course there was no camera near it to record it!

ALSO....

A photo from #8 investigation taken by a Sask. Paranormal Investigator has caused some speculation on what it might be. The shape in question looked to be like a person's head but upon further checking out I have found it to be the combination of bottles and barber chair head rest as shown in photo below...

BUT....

Another photo taken by the Sask, Paranormal Shadow Hunters has me believing it to be un-debunkable! There is nothing in that room that could have made that shape let alone the difficulty of the shadow effects! It was dark out by that time and the curtains were closed!. There is very little room for maneuvering around especially with a couple of people in the room. Some mention the shadow difference in the second shot...I say she moved enough to change the shadow placement of the headboard. This odd dark shape does not have to be in human form to classified as one of the "shadow people"...

Sorry the posting has taken so long but I do have another life that involves trying to make money so I can continue with this foolishness...;}

Today I have to plan for a meeting at 6:30, we go back to this building again...this time to be interviewed by our local newspaper about what we are doing in there...

A Letter to Buttons - Feb. 27, 2011

Well, Kiddo, another year has gone by and I wish it did feel like it was only yesterday but it's not...;(

7 years is a LONG TIME!

Yah, life did go on...but it has NEVER been the same without you!

YET...it still feels the same, like you are still here with me?

We'd have a good laugh about the "padded room" after that last statement...;(

I don't feel like you have passed on! I know it's wishful thinking on my part, but the feeling that I have about you, won't go away! I feel like you are still trying to contact me but can't? I have this strong feeling that you are trying to gain enough energy to let us know what REALLY happened to you...was it murder like I believe it to be or just a STUPID ACCIDENT?

The little evil IMP that sits on one of my shoulders, wants your husband to be guilty and to be NEVER, EVER be happy again!

That's the part of me that refuses to believe that you could EVER have been that CARELESS! Especially, after all of my pleas for you to be safe on that farm! Pleas to the point of nagging you and your ABSOLUTE REASSURANCE, THAT YOU ARE ALWAYS CAREFUL...YOU WOULD NEVER, EVER BE THAT CARELESS...YOUR VOW TO ME!

I remember the FEAR that you had of that machine...your wish that you had NEVER had bought that equipment! It's that little imp yelling at me NOT TO EVER FORGET THAT STATEMENT!

AND.....all of the other facts that points the guilty finger at him!

I. CAN. NOT. IMAGINE. WHY YOU WOULD WILLINGLY STEP INTO THAT DANGEROUS AREA KNOWING FULL WELL THAT IT COULD KILL YOU AT ANY MOMENT? YOU HAD TO OF KNOWN WHERE YOUR HUSBAND WAS!!!!!

Then there's the "Nice" little imp sitting on the other shoulder jabbing it's sharp needle into my caring side [yes, I do have one] yelling at me to remember that there are people out there that would be hurt even more if I was right! The only thing is...the jabs aren't that strong nor that frequent? Why is that?

These last couple have weeks have been harder than usual.

With all of the paranormal searching going on these last two weekends and with what I have been feeling about you lately, I had hoped that you could have picked up on the increase of the psychic energy from all the psychics that came...[which they were supposed to have brought with them]...;}

PoD and I never once mentioned you nor the circumstances of your death...it was kind of a silent experiment. One woman did mention a feeling of sadness upon approaching the town and the building, she hadn't been told anything about history of the place. But no one ever felt anything coming from PoD or me, sadness wise. We acted like there was nothing out of the ordinary in our lives. Our experiment ends on this subject as soon as this post goes out. Unless something is recorded!

There was a questionable time when we were using the Ghost Box that I'd hoped you would be able to say something through it during the time I was mentally trying to channel you [I know sounds crazy to the non-believer and you guys don't matter] but the words uttered during those moments didn't jive.

If it was you...only PoD or I could confirm that it could have been you?

Maybe if I had said something they could have channeled more towards you but that's where the skeptic in me feels that they should already get that vibe from me as it's so strong! They should have known!

Anyways it didn't happen.

And life does goes on!

For your family news...I hear [PoD]/read [facebook] that your grand daughter has been quite a handful with her being a fussy sleeper. It doesn't help that she's teething too...remember those wonderful days....;} I'm sure you would get the same enjoyment that I do when I see/hear that they now know what we went through...;) Yet the young all act like it's something new..."we have no idea"...;)?

They now call her Ginny like we did you but I'm not sure how I will feel about me saying it? It might be "Little Ginny"...who knows?

I haven't seen her since I held her last so I can't say how much she has grown. I do get to see her through the pictures they post on the computer and she has even experienced an outdoor adventure. Your family has gotten into "Mud Quading" and spends many a muddy weekend looking for water holes...this would have been right up your alley! Which kind of sounds like fun to me too! Although I'd hate to see their wash machines now...;}

But that's another thing he robbed you of that I can't forgive him for! At least you can rest easy knowing they are not moping around feeling sorry for your loss like I do...;{

Anyways...I don't want them to suffer your loss...just him!

I do know your kids still miss you very much!

As for your loving [?] husband...

Eener met another one of his "new" girlfriends [as he's still on the look out for your replacement] and she's another "wonderful" person in her eyes. It's hard for me to "not remember" how wonderful the first replacement was and how she walked away with a guestimation of 100,ooo.oo of your hard earned money [after a few short years]. I still say...PAY OFF! For WHAT...I believe I already know!

I guess I will "have to" reserve judgment on this next one until I meet her...although I never even met the first one and I never ever liked her?!

He did tell me that he was going to move on with his life after your death and with what you told me of his love for you...all this scenario stuff ends up with me being confused on whether you told me the truth of your relationship or not?

My confusion has been..."how does one replace the person they loved for 26 years so quickly, so easily, if they were so much in love"?

For myself....trust in a relationship means everything in life to me! Maybe not so much for others is something one must learn accept?

As you know I turned 60 a few days ago...that was a tense time for me! Remember this was our age goal when we both found out that we had Diabetes and were told to expect 10 years to be taken off what we'd figure our real life to be [70]! Well, I got here and have decided that I will continue to live every day just like it is going to be my last! No...I will not fret about dying either because we will die when it's our time whether we worry about it or not....so why worry about it!

My only accomplishment left, for this moment, is trying to leave this world as I started it....debt free! In the seven years I have had of single freedom, I have managed to get it down to only 25 percent left! Both my kids seem to be managing as well as can be expected for this day and age, as well as yours are.

I did have a tense moment on Valentine's Day with an intense "wannabe", way under age, suitor who figured that we all are capable of loving more than one person at a time and I should join his list of accomplishments in the sack! A psychic addition could only add to it. After all it came to him in a dream and I was very willing then..."I was meant to tell him the meaning of life"? The drunken idiot couldn't figure out for himself that my so-called abilities would have warned me and I would never had answered the phone when he called numerous times or I wouldn't have been there when he showed up!

Thinking back now....I did tell him the meaning of his life after all...I did tell him that he was lacking human emotions of any kind and considered him to be pond scum and much, much more....? Drunks don't normally remember conversations as they aren't listening while your having them, so I don't think he will remember my important words after all which maybe cause for reappearance...;( This IS a big worry for me even as I joke about it! How drunk or forceful IF there is a next time!

Sorry this is a day late but all energies right now are running in slow motion! My legs are jello like right now with all of the stair climbing that we did the last 2 weekends trying to keep up with all the paranormal researchers enthusiasms. Not to mention done while in a dry hot sauna that is the courthouse, remember! Plus I need to catch up on some badly needed sleep if I plan on making any money at my job.

INVESTIGATION #8... In the Dodge Court House

I made arrangements with Tim from Sask. Paranormal Shadow Hunters [SPSH]; from Hudson Bay [Sask], to meet us at the back of the Court House at 6:00 pm. PoD and I got there around 5 ish to set up our own stuff first.

It was bitchin’ cold out that evening with a wind chill that bit at everything exposed! It didn’t help that the earlier melt in the week, gave us huge skating rinks at the entrance way, with a nice skiff of snow to cover it...just to make it interesting! I mention this icy condition only because we needed to go outside A. LOT. to cool off because it is HOTTER THAN HELL in there! The 5 smokers learned to smoke quickly or as it proved near the end, when it dropped to -34/wind chill of -20, vehicle owners had to keep starting their vehicles. No one carried extra extension cords to plug in! Won’t be surprised if we all didn’t catch colds! I plan on bringing a blanket/sleeping bag for the car, for this next investigation!

PoD and I had just finished setting up where we wanted our video camera [main hallway entrance] and the game cam [upstairs outside the court room doors on the display case], when the first bunch of people arrived. Four tired looking people from SHP [Tim, Vinny, Lana & Nicole] greeted us at the back door. It had been a 6 hr drive for them. You got to be serious about the paranormal to drive that long/far just for ONE night!

We were sad to find out that the Celebrity Psychic/Medium, Barb Powell [Saskatoon], canceled at the last minute, so we missed that opportunity...maybe next time? One must learn not to depend on the guest people showing up...except for Ghost Stories of Sask. writer, JoAnne Christensen, who loved the scariness of the place!

We quickly got the greetings out of the way and gave them the grand tour! During the tour they decided that they would set up their command post in the basement at the entrance to the Custodial Quarters...we left them all ALONE there to get it all set up.

We broke one of the rules...we left them alone to do their thing! There is no possible way PoD and I wanted to sit and watch [they didn’t want/need our help] them set up...talk about showing no trust!

When we picked the keys up on Friday we went around and took many [161] pictures of the museum’s displays and such, to provide some proof of condition, before they came. Thing was, we noticed that some of the stuff was moved and added to since the photo taking that day, so that might be a problem if they find stuff gone? Most of the investigations consisted of 2 people groups, in various places, so having us keep track proven to be impossible! We did use cameras where we could.

PoD and I had set our own camcorder up in the main foyer with it pointing towards the staircase. I had placed a trigger object [ball] on the stair for anything to push it or whatever. There is a child entity recorded to be in this place and so we leave toys around hoping that it/something will move them. There was writing on the ball, so I placed it where one could make note of it. The camcorder didn’t work too well, as it wasn’t lit enough to actually see if it recorded any ball movement, or not. It’s not meant for dim lighting.

We were excited once, when I noticed later that evening, that the wording on the ball had moved. I had forgot to mark the placement area so I was unsure whether it had rolled or was tampered with? On later viewing of the footage [2 hrs] I discovered that it was touched twice by two different people and it wasn’t Pod or me!

Investigators SHOULD KNOW to NEVER touch trigger objects! Or as it is in this building...anything!

I keep trying to catch something on these stairs, for many stories are told about the sounds of ghostly footsteps being heard on them. But it proved to be too nosy with all the people going about the place and sounds really echo in there! I plan on recording this area next time when we all go to sleep....when it is supposed to be quiet.

As for the other trigger objects, they used these toys...

SPSH left these behind [not the ball], as a token gift for the spirits to play with and as a thank you, for no harm being done to them, or to their equipment. This was a first for me, as no one had left anything behind before [or if they did, I didn’t know]...seems all groups do their own thing.

SPSH sets their command post up differently than the others that have come here...

The other two groups keep their command post with them, so they can be viewed when not out researching the building. I kind of like being able to watch as it is being recorded, as one hopes to see it happening! We also note the time frame when one does see something, which makes for easier viewing later. Plus, I’m not one to roam about much, as this place drains me, whether it is from the intense heat or the spooks, I don’t know!

We were also waiting for the other two people coming from Regina [Sask] which is also 6 hrs away! Sean is the president of Sask. Paranormal investigators [SPI] with his travel companion [Chantel, investigator-in-training]. Sean is a sensitive like PoD and I and is supposed to have very strong psychic abilities.

Just shortly before they had arrived [7:30ish], it had started to get dark and PoD and I needed to close the curtains in the court room upstairs. We had just started our journey to go up the long main staircase when PoD suddenly said that she felt the atmosphere around us change! Like something had just entered...yet no one had come in any of the doors! Up until then the place had felt quite quiet...boring like! She said the feeling stayed with her as we climbed the stairs! I felt nothing but as I cleared the last step and looked into the court room I saw a dark shape quickly cross in front of the window light. My focus had been on that window the whole time as I climbed so my gaze had never strayed away. So I can’t blame the change in focal point. As I yelled “Wow...did you see that” to PoD [she didn’t] and rushed to take photos, as I did, we heard Tim holler from the basement...

He had seen a black shape step quickly into the old RCMP [Dentist] Office. He had been going down the back stairway the same time we were going up the front! This room is to your left as you enter the basement. There was also no one else in the basement!

PoD had felt the atmosphere change right before that....?

Was this the start....

It was!

It was also DARK now! [9ish]

We do all our investigations in the dark with only the small beam from our small flash lights to see by. We don’t use big flashlights because they light up the area too much. Besides it’s creepier with just a small lit area to see! These little beams do not give you the feeling of being safe but when it is a dark as it is in the basement, any little light helps...;)

We all pretty well traveled in groups of 2 or 4s. The SPSH people consisted of 2 guys and 2 girls. They pretty much did their own thing. They use equipment to do their research and didn’t have any intuitive/psychics with them. They did want one but it couldn’t be arranged in time for this trip. Hopefully another visit here is in their future?

PoD and I went with Sean and Chantel from SPI to check out the Court Room/Gallery and Judges Chambers. We all did our individual thing while in there. There were times when I was by myself on one side of the railing and felt that there was something in the dark chasing me. It felt like it wanted to be behind me all of the time. I even found myself spinning around trying to catch it on my camera but later upon review, I found that I didn’t catch anything...not even dust motes! I joined Chantel, who told me she felt the same way and she was not intuitive at all. She felt like something was always looking over her shoulders and chasing her around in there too.

Next we traveled into the next area that I am quite edgy to be in and that is the Judge’s Chambers. Not the living room area as much as the bedroom! This is one room that gives me an instant headache and I don’t care to be in it any longer than I have to. We weren’t in that room more than a minute when the two SPI members began to suffer from extreme headaches. I hadn’t mentioned that this happens to me to the new guys, we wanted them to experience without being influenced by our previous experiences. I had chalked my headaches off to the smell of the old rug but the museum staff had cleaned it thoroughly and it smelled okay but the feeling in the room is a heavy foreboding one with me feeling very apprehensive to the point of leaving.

We spent some time on the Masonic mirror with it’s weird symbols. When checking the glass you cannot see these symbols, they only appear when you shine a light on it or take a picture.

We took the elevator down to the backdoor entrance, which leads to the basement, because the elevator doesn’t go all the way to the basement. Taking it was really creepy, as it decided that it didn’t want to work right, stalling between floors...that was the last time we took the elevator!

Our next tour [11:30] was the old RCMP Offices, Sean basically came up with the same feeling in the spooky areas as we did and his psychic ability kind of confirmed that someone suffered from injuries of the neck while in those offices. He kept getting a choking sensation in the jailed room where they held the prisoner for trial. It’s alleged that a Chinese man hung himself there? Of course there is no written record of it happening but I’m sure there was a lot that went on in there that wasn’t recorded. After all this was a favorite town for KKK meetings and that is a statement that can be backed up with a receipt of hall rental for one of their meetings!

He especially did not like the back room which the dentist used as a dark room. The windows are painted black so it was TOTALLY dark in there. This is the room where I ran into “Stinky” ghost and the hallway next to it. It’s also the same hallway that PoD and I freaked out when researching with the Ghost Hunters, then the motion sensors went off! Later that evening, Sean might have smelled the “Stinky” ghost, on the main floor.

After finishing those rooms we were to go down the hallway to the jail cells and Custodial Quarters when I got this intense feeling of dread! I was getting this strong vibe to stay away! As I was having this feeling Sean said he was starting to feel the same way! Most people [me] would take this as a sign to stay away and if it had just been PoD and I, we would have. Only Sean figured that we needed to see what was there and to confront it! Not good news for me! I’ve battled with this feeling down here before and it usually wins!

It didn’t help when Chantel took a photo of the dreaded area and she caught what looked like a dark male figure, standing in the Quarters hallway. I looked like it was wearing a brimmed hat. It was a blurry shape but very ominous feeling one when I looked at it. Even more reason not to go!

I’ve seen enough stuff recorded on what might be down there and it isn’t a happy place! It isn’t evil as in the devil, but a feel of badness is strong! It feels more like someone/thing doesn’t want anyone down there especial in the quarters! For me it’s the kitchen and the back bedroom! Yet one gets this playful feeling at the same time?

I had a blast in this place when we did the Halloween thing. It gave me grief during the set up but left us alone during the haunt/take down? I used to think that as long as I gave it something to amuse it with [our victims], it would leave us [my family/me] alone. Now is it mad because I quit the Halloween FUN thing and replaced it with cameras and sound recorders instead, which will expose it?

Okay, where’s the white belted jacket and padded cell.....;}

Anyways....

Did I mention that it was HOT in there! Well the basement is the worst! The further you get from the outside door the hotter it gets!

We toured the old jail rooms and other parts with no feeling of dread in either of those areas, just the heat. It was the same way as Sean and I entered the Custodial Quarters.

I was standing in the hallway, right where the shadowy figure had stood in Chantel’s photo, when I felt the area around us suddenly became cooler. So did the others. One could move their hand around and feel the coolness on the skin. I thought maybe someone had opened some windows? They said they hadn’t! I was showing them where the shadowy figure from the “Sask Ghost Hunters” had been captured [in doorway to living room] when I felt a draft coming from one of the windows. So I went over to check it out. As I approached, the curtains billowed out towards me like there was a window open and it was windy.

There was NO WIND blowing on me!

Upon closer inspection, I found that the window was closed with just a slight draft...not enough “draft” to blow the curtains! Sean had seen it too and knew that it wasn’t a natural thing happening!

Creepy!

We checked out the other rooms and all felt okay but still cool?

This was the coolest part of the whole building! It is normally just as hot as the other?

PoD and the others wanted to sit around in the kitchen and there wasn’t a single place that I wanted to sit at. I felt that it was important to protect my back? PoD tried to show me another place to sit with the counter at my back but I could feel myself getting agitated....the feeling of dread was strong!

I can be pretty brave when I am with lots of people in that place but when I get that feeling of “GET OUT”, really strong like...

Get out I did! The hallway never looked so appealing and I had no problem going down it all alone to get out of the basement. Only PoD calling me back made me stop and go back to them, I had only gotten half way! Seems right after I left the coolness went with me and it was warm again? When I entered the quarters it felt too hot in there for me to stay! Yet when I faced the hallway again, the appealing nature was gone and in it’s place was fear! I couldn’t stay in the quarters and I was afraid to go down the hallway in the dark all alone! The fear of the quarters won over the fear of the hallway...I ended up running down it and backing up the stairs to the safe room.

That ended my searching!

PoD had somehow twisted her knee in the basement on the way back and climbing the stairs became a nightmare for her. After our incident with the elevator she didn’t want to try using it again.

So her search ended too.

As for the others they said they got lots of recordings and photos.

There was this one time where they had set up this device that picks up radio waves and frequencies, they called it a Ghost Box? Paranormal energy in the vicinity of it enables it to utter words? This electronic stuff baffles me so I could have that part wrong! They had set this device in the Quarters in same area as the ghostly shadow. At one point they heard what sounded like a child and when asked its age it said “3”. When asked what toy it liked it replied “puppy”.

I've gone through most of the photos and there wasn't many Orbs and these ones show up on most of them?

While we were in the Custodial Quarters, Tim had been watching the monitors outside of the quarters. He rushed in wanting to know if I had stuck my head briefly into the living room through the doorway. None of us had been anywhere near the area he was speaking of. I knew it wasn’t me! He knows he saw something!

Also while he was setting up the command post, he looked up just in time to see a flash of light streak across the hallway from the ladies jail to the men’s! Again...cameras weren’t quite ready...;(

By 3:15 am we all were too tired to do any more searching...we needed to sleep!

And YES! I slept in the Court House...4 whole hours!

When we were getting ready for shut-eye, Tim decided that he wanted to try to sleep in the Judge’s chamber on his bed!

He lasted 1 hour!

Tim’s account from Facebook: “was so intense sleeping in that room alone. Would not let me sleep at all, every time I closed my eyes the banging and walking around would start. I could hear talking and rustling around in the room next to me. I thought for sure it was someone out there trying to scare me. Major activity in there!” He also said that he has recorded something growling and the word “deeper”? The final loudest noise was right in the room with him so he left to come down and join us. At first, he though, we had decided to stay up and we were the ones making all the noises. But when he saw us all asleep, he wondered how we had slept through it all?

The Scary Bedroom

My kidneys never let me sleep longer than 4 hours so I was the first awake which was at 7:00 am. Not much longer the others began to awake and in no time all had been packed up and we said our good-byes.

Our conclusion: These are two groups who are dedicated to the researching of the paranormal and handled themselves in a very professional manner. They have our approval for other visits!

As for PoD and I...we had to re-photograph the displays all over again which mean another half hour in that hot place! Plus I had to get my Game Cam that I had set up near the court room to catch what-ever. Just caught the usual humans and nothing spooky...;( The odd thing was when we first set it up the new batteries didn’t work? Had to replace them and then it worked?

PoD did notice something odd on the basement floor as we were taking pictures...a 4” plastic red hollow bat [toy] laying near the piano. I checked the earlier photos and it wasn’t there! Will find out from the groups if they played a prank and place it there to see if we’d notice or not.

Or was it the ghostly child playing with it’s toy..................?

As of this date they have heard these on their EVP [electronic voice phenomenon] recorders; “come on”, “yesss I doo”, “som-mebody” [or piano sounds], “deeper” & “puppy”

You tell me... can all of this recorded evidence be a hoax?

Finally its DONE!

It’s taken me two days to get my energy back! I swear I could barely stay awake! Thank heavens for the Family holiday on Monday because I slept through it too!

Plus it takes awhile to go through all the pictures.

A HAUNTING WE WILL GO #8.....

Happens tonight in our spooky court house with the "Shadow Hunters Paranormal".....:)

The last you remember is us calling ourselves the "Phantom Hunters"....well that had to change due to the duty change. We will still be doing our own investigations, only having to add the "supervising" to our duty list. So we now have to document the groups as they do their thing, so the Council can see our proof too? Clear as mud right.

I've already been keeping a record, thanks to the blog thing and now I keep a journal of sorts which is the physical part. One only trusts computers so far! I've believe that I have lost info on the first two investigations so PoD and I have to rack our brains for those ones.

I have designed up our new look and title for this new spooky venture...

Explanation for those who can't figure out why the design...

Paranormal Guardians......a "not to highly thought of subject the paranormal" that has to be protected from the "Naysayers" of this town! It has been a hard battle to get people to believe and has taken many hours to try to do so. This is mostly done by my daughter and I, but we do have two other associates [not from here] that do come and help out when needed. There has been no other offers from town folks to do this either.

Paranormal Activity [ghosts] in the Court House....is now a documented fact!

Night Owls....Owls are my favorite birds [I collect/paint/etc them] and are a part of my business logo. PoD's is Cats [especially Egyptian] but didn't go well with the theme of the owls being night creatures [yet so are cats] only didn't picture well. The saying is Night Owls not owl/cats...;} And that fact that they are considered to be wise...;)

And I'm sure your smart enough to figure out why the court house picture....;}

My next thoughts are of black T-shirts with big white letters on the back that says....

My food, treats, liquids and equipment are sitting waiting for the slated hour...

The other big thing I have to do today is fix my printer...

I tried to man-handle jammed paper out of it and ended up jamming the print head too! So now I have to put on my "Repairman"s Hat" and try to fix it.....fingers crossed!

AND...

Try to get some zzzzzzzzzzzz to be ready for tonight's festivities.....

P.S....My Valentine's day suitor did not turn up or call....:) I think I still have some karma on credit and a big thank you to all who wished me a Happy Birthday...:)

This has been a long time coming.....60 hurdles to leap!

They seem to get larger and larger as each birthday passes or is it that I am getting shorter and shorter...?

Definitely fatter....:(

The nice thing I like about this age, is that every day is like a new day because I have usually forgotten what I did yesterday.....;}

That includes new movies.....;}

I get to blame everything that I do on old age and forgetfulness!

I finally get a discount on what I purchase...even if it is only a measly 10 percent!

I can go swimming this year for only a dollar instead of the six dollars they expected from a person who might only spend an hour in it!

I could go on and on.....but I forgot what I was going on about....

Anyways....

My family [plus the Ex] has already given me my present....they got my main computer back up and running again! It's been sitting in retirement for two years with a noisy/dying video card. I had wanted to try using a laptop but it couldn't keep up with my daily 12 hr usage [overheating/shutting down]. I never had the problem with the big one.

Health wise...aside from my cold/virus last week [or so] all has been good....knock on wood! My sugars have been a bit on the high side, lately but seeing as I am going to be needing them on Saturday for the investigation in the Court House, it might be a good thing?

This week has been a week of "is it time yet"....how can you tell it's been awhile since our last investigation. With the added worry of the "Guardianship" of the courthouse, it has put a bit of stress on me, seeing as we have to be with them at all times and that thought ups my sugar levels! I like doing the investigations but have a hard time battling off its energy drain on me. I might be spending a lot of time sitting in the car...;}

Won't stop me tho.....still gonna do it!

Birthday wishes go out to my grandson who is 12 today! A big hurdle for him too...he's now of legal age to stay home alone and be able to babysit!

He was my birthday present the day he was born. He is also the same zodiac as me in the Chinese zodiac, the "Metal Rabbit" which happens to be this years Zodiac symbol. Weird huh? Poor PoD, she's stuck with two Aquarian Metal Rabbits...what a whammy...;} With her being a Virgo...fire and water? It's interesting!

And birthday wishes goes out to an ex-brother-in-law, REM, who is still in contact with me. He's celebrating 72 years! 65 is my next hurdle so I hope I have more hurdles to get to that age. Well it's 6:30 am, my son's already called [away working] to wish me a happy birthday and says he has plans to celebrate MY birthday with a roommate who just so happens to be born on this day too...what a small world.

Let's see what the rest of this day will bring......

This is what showed up after annoying me with numerous phone calls first...when I stopped answering the phone..... he showed up at the door!

Only I didn't see the wings/bow & arrow or cigar or nudity but the creep factor was still there!

This is a well known slime ball that hangs out at the party houses next door looking for sexual action! He had a wonderful girlfriend, had children with her, then promptly slept with anything that would let him. She finally wised up and kicked him out, only to have him end up with someone my age [he's in his early 30s] but that doesn't stop him!

Want to know his "come-on-line" to me?

He had dreamt about me and in his dream I was to show him the true meaning of life...?

My kids think I should feel honored....

After all this gives me "Cougar" status......;}

notice the melted snow...it's been spring like with water running on top of the ice...I'll have to chisel the hearts out of the snow to take them down....;}

AND NOW.......

A HAUNTING WE WILL GO....#8 Is happening Saturday, Feb 19 [day after my birthday], in our haunted Court House.

A paranormal group called "Shadow Hunters Paranormal" contacted the town and requested an investigation. The town contacted us and wanted to know if PoD and I would be interested in continuing our "Paranormal Babysitting" for them [no pay of course]. As this is our passion no pay is necessary...just to be a part of this research is payment enough...;)

So of course we said YES!

This is a new group to us. They are out of Saskatoon and list themselves as "Debunkers" with lots of technical equipment. Their group consists of six people listed as investigator's and investigator's-in-training. They said they don't normally travel with Psychics or Mediums but this time they have asked a well known "Celebrity Psychic Medium - Barb Powell" to join them for this one.

This one should be quite interesting. To bad the town doesn't invest in a live cam situation...maybe one day? They still won't let us log into their internet to try for ourselves...something about sercurities?

Anyways....

The next weekend, Feb. 25 & 26th, we will be hosting "Calling Lakes Paranormal Investigators" from Fort QueApple. This will be their 5th time here.

Shoud be really interesting....haven't had a good scare in a long time...:)
